Team 3641 Driver Station

This is team 3641, The Flying Toasters, driver station for Stronghold. It has a 12 foot camera which mounts via usb into the laptop which is placed in the center of the unit and runs via VGA to the secondary monitor, which uses the power outlet at the field. Please ask if there are any questions.

What material is the base and backboard made of? Also, what camera was used for the monitor (Pole Camera, On robot (where on robot), etc)? Thanks

What is the weight? Also can the driver see clearly over that?

Camera is visible in the photo right now (mounted in white brackets next to monitor. It is a 12' conference 60 degree webcam using USB power and data interface.

The entire backboard is painted plywood and the brackets are HDPE plastic. Using wood screws and 1/4"-20 bolts to fix.

Weight with laptop is probably about 20lbs (haven't actually weighed it) but the main problem with the weight is that it's weirdly balanced, the two uprights are handles for control and short duration lifting and the head mount is to help with the balance so your hands don't have to apply counter torque for long duration walking.

And both of us on the drive team could easily see over it because I (the operator) am 6'3" and the driver is about 6'1" .
