Compactified versaplanetary on #4213

4213 needed a low profile versaplanetary gearbox. (The application was bad- but the gearbox itself was great)

It's made with a dual-motor input and a custom mount plate (with bored out section for a bearing). Was gonna post this way back but I was scrolling through old photos and ran into this guy.

I think this would be an interesting product for VEX to develop as an addition to their product line supporting the versa planetary. Overall I love the concept. Would it be at all possible to get a shot of the bottom where the gearing is connecting the motor to the planetary?

This looks great! How did you connect the pulley to the input coupler? Did you just make an 8mm shaft?

I'll try and get someone to give me those shots when we next take this off... No pulleys. We used the dual-input stage, BAG input to one side, then a custom stub 8mm "shaft" that's only 0.5" long couples the other input of the dual input stage to the input of the versaplanetary itself.
