This is a really nice chassis. Great use of COTS parts to build a simple robust frame. My favorite detail is the use of the angle brackets to mount the superstructure to both sides of the drive rail - I wish I had thought of something robust like that for my own team's frame!

Will you have any more cross-support for this chassis than what is shown? Perhaps in your superstructure? Right now, just the one member in the back for cross support might result in a less rigid frame than you'd prefer. Easy ways to stiffen the frame up include tying the two gearboxes together with standoffs, or running a 1x1 across the top of the frame somewhere (maybe directly behind the gearboxes?)

In any case, this is a great frame.

Also, make sure that you are supporting your bumpers along the sides every 8 inches. Right now that span is wide open.

Nice, with a few issues.

In addition to those raised by Chris and Tom, using the AM Battery mount kit like this may not properly secure the battery. It is designed to fit inside the AM14U2/3 end sheet, which is basically a piece of 3" channel. Even after you put in the bungee, the battery would be free to rotate around a horizontal axis running left-to-right. That is, the bottom could come forward, and the top go back. Once it rotates a little bit, it's free to slide right out either way (though most likely forward onto the belly pan). Another bar like the one at the top placed at the bottom would resolve this.

Could this be solved by covering each side?

Yes - you got this before I added the last sentence. Another bar like the one currently at the top placed at the bottom would do it. Yet another at the back top or enclosing both sides would be great for keeping the battery in, but might make it all but impossible to get the battery in or out (short of rotating the whole robot).
