115's robot stolen

After their strong run at Utah, 115’s bot has been stolen. It sucks to see this has happened to another team. Hopefully they can get it back before Idaho.

It was such an awesome experience playing with 115 in playoffs at Utah! They have an awesome robot and this is really unfortunate. 115, let us know if we can support you guys in any way!

This really sucks. Best of luck to everyone on 115 and sad to see this happen

That is absolutely devastating. Please reach out to me or 6844 if there’s anything we can do.

Can anyone from the team post the BOM in a google sheet or something so we can help them with parts? If we know what we can donate or what the team needs maybe everyone on Chief can band together and get them going again.

They have 3 weeks to either hope their robot is found by the police or to build another to compete. It looked like a very competitive bot, I hate to see this seemingly happen every year to a team somewhere in the FRC community…

We will send whatever we can spare, let us know!

We had equipment (drive station and computer) stolen last year before an off season event. The kids rallied and had us up and running again within 24 hours but even now they feel the sting of losing the drive station.

$50,000 robot value = bad reporting. The robot is PRICELESS.

If we can help from way over here in Indiana, let us know.

Aw shucks, we’re nowhere near all of you on team 115. But if there’s any way we could help all the way from Minnesota, just let me know and I’ll see if we can do it.

This is terrible! We loved getting to compete with you at Utah and we will see you again at the Idaho Regional. Please let us know how we can help and what you need!

So sorry to hear. If a gofundme is created please let us know, we would love to help!

Team 2130 Alpha + will be competing at Idaho. If someone from 115 reads this, please reach out to us and let us know if there are any tools or parts we might be able to help you with.

This is so sad to hear! Please let me or 2642 know if there is anything we can do to help. If there are any parts or tools you need, we would be glad to send them your way.

If anyone from 115 sees this,

If you guys need anything, we’re only a couple blocks away. Let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to make sure you get it.

Your Cupertino friends,

Valkyrie Robotics

Wow, my deepest condolences to you. If any whiff of a stolen robot comes around Kansas City, I will definitely let you know! My biggest question is who would steal a robot as it would be identified as not yours. Scrap it for parts? This is the FIRST crime of the decade!

Unfortunately, it’s more common than once a decade. A quick Google search showed that this same situation happened back in 2015, and it had a happy ending. I hope that that’s the case for 115.

They stole the trailer, likely unaware of what was inside.

This actually hurts to see this… but sadly we live in a society where this stuff happens day in and day out. From me and my team, we wish 115 luck.

This also happened in 2016, which also had a happy ending (at least for the robot)

If anyone from Team 115 is reading, you should alert Wierd Stuff Warehouse, Excess Solutions, and HSC in case the thieves try to sell any of it to them.

Edit: Didn’t realize it was Utah. Maybe check with local scrap/surplus/pawn stores in Utah, if there are such things there.

The same thing happened to 5338 in 2015. They were our alliance partners at SMR. Their vehicle, with robot inside, was stolen from their hotel parking lot. FIRST allowed them to compete in Champs with their practice bot.

If I recall correctly, their competition machine was “returned” by leaving it in a public place shortly after the shipping deadline to St Louis.
