I was wondering if anyone could provide CAD files for their horizontal and vertical elevators this year. I’m trying to CAD a similar elevator but the Behind the Bumpers didn’t give much information.
The vertical elevator is simply a single loop of belt on each side that the carriage is fastened to. The belt is rotated and the carriage goes up/down. The horizontal elevator is cascade rigged. You can get an idea of how this is done in this Andymark video, the TTB elevator manual/CAD, or this video
Okay thanks!
The vertical elevator is one continuous loop of belt with belt tensioners on 2 ends.
The horizontal is chain driven with cascade rigging. I’ll have the students upload the engineering binder when they have time.
Is the Engineering Binder still floating around?
[The Internet] (Us nerd kids) are still dying to know how your robot works.
The elevator was incredibly smooth, was there any special closed loop control used?
