1584 final robot

This is team 1584’s bot for this year.

We are able to lift 2 robots independently, although due to time and weight restrictions if we are lifting only one it must be on a certain side which is something we wanted to try and avoid, the idea is to be able to lift one but have the option for another to come on late, it will still work but will just have to make sure the first bot gets on the right side ( I can foresee some possible complications with that, but oh well). The lifts are currently our strength as we can lift over 150lbs in about 3.5 seconds (12in) and are designed in such a way that it should not matter what the configuration of the alliance members frame or drive drain is to be able to safely lift it.

We can also score on all 3 levels, although the arm can be shakey and somewhat difficult to be percise with, but it works.

Our drive drain ended up sub-par, we were waiting on a member to finish a nice 6 wheel drive but since that never was completed we had to switch to a 4 wheel (hopping all over the place mind you) design at the last minute.

We have a very small team, only about 5 mostly-dedicated kids, without our amazing mentors we wouldn’t get anything done.

Bot looks good to me!!! those lifts are also amazingly fast!! i saw this design early in he build season and was intrigued…good to see how it turned out. look forward to seeing some video of this beast in action! what regionals are u guys going to? Championships?

Awesome Job Guys!
Hope The Bot does good at competitions!

Thanks guys! Yes, we are in Denver this weekend for the regional, other then that we are not scheduled for championships unless we make it here. We did pretty good today, didnt get a chance to test out the lifts in any of the practice matches but the arm works pretty good, we averaged about 3 tubes per match.

Wow, only 5 kids. I’m really impressed. I saw teasers of your lift on CD before the end of the build-season and thought that the whole design was pretty cool, not to mention really unique! I’m glad to see you guys got it working. Good luck in whatever competition you have left
