This is cool, but unfortunately probably just under half won’t get counted before auto ends, since the field can’t handle enough balls per second and scoring is cut off at the end of auto…
Awesome work! I hate that week 1 has made it seem like half of these won’t be processed until tele-op. The field limiting the scoring potential of teams is really upsetting.

Just out of interest, why’d you decide to wait until week three to get on the field this year? Just logistics, or do you guys find that the value from early iteration on a practice bot beats out any advantage from an early event?
Reports from this weekend are that during >5bps input, counting is happening significantly faster than 5bps. Video from the boiler exits look to us like the counting lag is around 3 sec. We think 40 can get counted.
I get that’s it’s not impressive enough to earn Harambe’s seal of approval, but I still thought it was pretty amazing.

They also had multiple times with a +20kPa autonomous.
It really was a thing of beauty to watch, so I hope you guys can pull this off in real competition. The crowd loves it.

That means you need to be between 100% accurate with 4.5 Bps to ~70% at 6.7 Bps with 40-60 balls shot.

Strictly scheduling logistics. We normally like to play as early as possible. With districts growing, there are a shrinking number of regional options.
I thought it was neat. I remember 3 tube in 2011 and 6 ball autos in 2010 happening all the time as well.
Only 1 team ever showed off 3 tube in 2011 and it was iffy on timing at home practicing and not a single team ever said they had a 6 ball in 2010 but plenty of teams had 5 ball autos; although only 1 team ever made 4.
That’s the point bruh
