2002 TechnoTank

Fellow posters, keep your eyes open and glued to the 2002 robots gallery because very soon some Technokat robot pictures will be uploaded.

One thing i must say about the pictures that will be uploaded is that they do not depict our current building status.

As a fellow member of the Technokats Id like to make the correction in clarks post

It should say 2002 Robot

Ok…The pics are up in the 2002 robot gallery here…

I’m sure i’ll upload some better complete pics later.

holy friggin cow!!! you’re right… that is a tank

jesus, that thing is amazing. I’m not sure if having 6 motors would add that much of a benefit in term of power/traction, but it’s sure great to look at. I must say that I’m simply amazed and also envious that technokats have the capability to make that thing;)

Is 6 drive motors all you can throw at us? Now I guess I can stop asking you for hints Andy. Maybe not though because you still have some secrets.

The robot looks impressive as always. I can’t wait to see the Technokats in action in Chicago, and hopefully we’ll get a chance to pair up with you.

Mike

I haven’t been following the rules closely (I’m not with a team this year), so this is off the cuff…

but I’m going to guess the TechnoKats have a robot grabber on that TechnoTank. There’s nothing else worth keeping a surprise.

I’m sure it’s a very kind and graciously professional robot grabber, but a grabber nonetheless. Can’t wait to see them haul another robot and two goals at the same time.

Dan

I’m pretty sure I know what the suprise is check out team 857’s bot for a hint.

Woww very nice treads and gearbox, next year 8 motors?

I think the missing part is a really robust ball system that can do a lot of balls really fast… Maybe like 45 at 2000, or 111 at 2000, or 56 this year.

And goal grabbers of course.

Thanks for all the comments on the bot.

One response that i have now is that we dont have a robot grabber:D …

And all the other guesses were really close.

Remeber more pics coming soon.

(correction on one of the gearbox pics: i said we shift with a seat motor (i was tired:) ) but we actually shift with the window lift motor.)

I like your perpendicular accumulator. presumably the two sides both run inward and you just drive forward to lead them to the inside feeder?

Yep…

We also have another ā€œcollectorā€ assembly when we start on the other side of the Player Station Areas…one is red…one is blue…
