even if there just rumors, can people post about the new regionals for 2005?
rochester
purdue
las vegas
At least that’s what I’ve heard
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada is a definite.
I believe this regional will be held the weekend of Easter Sunday - March 24-26.
Don’t worry, Karthik. I got your back!
Hey… let’s give a new twist to this thread. Does anyone know of the “unofficial” dates to next year’s regionals?
The Boilermaker Regional is March 17-18-19
Location: West Lafayette, Indiana
Andy B.
Finger Lakes Regional
march 3-4-5, 2005
Rochester Inst. of Technology’s Feild House
Rochester, NY
I recall reading somewhere on here that there was going to be a regional in Israel in the not-too-far-off future. Something like twelve rookie teams are getting started over there. (I get the sneaking suspicion that they’ll be building a field over there. Shipping a field halfway around the world can’t be that cost-effective for FIRST.)
Canadian, oops I mean Greater Toronto regional will be the week after Waterloo. I believe that Philly is the same weekend as Waterloo and also the LA regional the same weekend as Waterloo. Why would I know? I have been asked to work 2 of the regionals and our team is suppose to go to California all on the same weekend.
Remember that none of the above has been confirmed with me from FIRST.
The NJ Regional at the Soverign Bank Arena, NJ will be held on March 16-18(Unofficial), 2005. Check out NJFIRST.ORG for more info.
188 coming to the So Cal regional ::: Scared::::
First 69, now 188! Next thing ya know, 71 will come!
does anyone know about the las vages regional? so maybe we can go there, and win instead of having these power house outsider team stealing our regional:eek:
i heard the championships were moving to Indy :yikes:
wait…wrong thread…sorry
anyways…the Purdue University Regional should be fantastic. Think: IRI quality teams at an official regional
I guess we just have to hope that hammond and the thunderbots dont’ create the SuperAlliance again and run the field.
me thinks you need a calendar check on those dates … and on the website. Thurs thru Sat that weekend is the 17th thru 19th. :o
Okay, for organizational purposes, here’s the very unofficial list according to this thread.
**Week 1: **Rochester
Week 2:
**Week 3: **Purdue, New Jersey
**Week 4: **Waterloo, Philadelphia, Southern California
Week 5: Greater Toronto, Western Michigan
interesting that you say you would win the lv regional, if there is one ofcourse… well if homefield advantage means anything at a FIRST regional, then i think my team has a pretty good chance. ALSO, did you know your team number is Las Vegas’s area code? so WHEN IS FIRST GOING TO ANNOUNCE THE OFFICIAL REGIONALS ALREADY??
i didnt know that , interesting facts
lol and about homefield… has the chessy poofs , H.Y.P.E.R and team 60 and the gila Monsters taught u Anything?
When will a team from La be the top seed and top Alliance captain?

Oh Yeah!!! [Getting pumped up 8 months in advance]

Those are really the dates I got, although I am assuming they meant March 17-29. I mantain the NJFIRST.ORG domain, so thats how I got this info. if you are wondering.
Just out of curiosity, do regionals usually shift weeks from one season to the next?
If not, then it’s pretty safe to put Palmetto in Week 5.
