2006 Finger Lakes Regional

FLR was great. Personally I can’t wait to cheer 1126 on at the Einstein Field. They are really impressive.

My burned in memory is going to be the qualification match with 1126, 229, and 340 all lined up at the bottom of the ramp waiting for the offense signal. 40 sec of continuous firing. Maybe only 2/3rds stayed in, but it was a really cool sight. 109 points made it the highest score of the day.

I’m also sooo happy for my friend Jason Rees. He’s the heart and soul of 340 and the reason I keep coming back. He’s truly a remarkable person and completely deserving of the Woodie Flowers Award.

An awsome regional.
I’m proud of Chuck and every thing worked wonderfully.
I’m equally proud of 229 and their incredable machine.
Great MCing by V-Nuen and I can’t wait till next year!

any videos of any Elim matches!? I would love to see the Finals again.

Chuck 84 was definitely one of my favorite designs. I loved (and/or hated ;o) to see all those balls pouring out in to the corner goal. Very nice.

Alex,

When Ed gives me the 16 hours of FLR videotapes I 'll digitize them and have them available somehow to everyone.

aww, aren’t ya just a nice guy. do those video feeds have sound? or shall i or you add music to it. hard to find 16 hours of music that is appropriate for everyone :P.

They supposedly have sound according to Ed so we’ll see.

phew. i’ll be over in 3.5 hours to see. :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks who ever was complementing chuck the bot has a few issues drive wise the wheels were geting busted to easily

I loved your robot and was high on my list. Good Luck in Philly.

you guys are fast lol i just posted that not even 10 sekonds ago

i realy did not like how they disqualifed people for going into the goal especialy when they were rammed into them

it happens.

HA, we were DQed for PUSHING another bot into the goal, just the opposite.

well yeah, but you pushed them through the CENTER goal! :^)

Did anyone get video of the mascots dancing on the field on Sat? I’d like a copy of that if anyone has it.

Jake

Hey,

FLR 2006 was great! I know our team had a busy and fun couple of days. Special congrats to the East, Sparx, DivBy0 alliance and to GRR for Chairman’s.

We’re off to Boston next – hope to see many of the teams there.

By the way… Did any of the teams out there accidentally pick up a blue + green columbia ski coat in the stands? We checked with RIT lost+found, but no luck. Would love to get it back!

This was a great regional. Some of the robots I were impressed by are:

1126: Great robot. The design is pretty flawless. Good look and it was great being partnered with you guys.

1901: Small, compact and lethal. You guys started the regional as rookies, but by the end you were looking great. Congrats on rookie all-star and highest seeded rookie. Are you guys going to Atlanta?

191: Short shooter but a great defender. Finals were awesome against you guys.

1511: You may have became a defensive robot, but your driver is a good driver for that.

You mean 1511 :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m still mad we never get to have the Xerox Trinity together in one match. Not even in the Ruckus!
