Does anybody happen to have a copy of the 2006 Kit of Parts Transmissions in cad/inventor format. If possible email the items to [email protected] or post a link with a downloadable copy. Thank you for your cooperation.
Not too sure which one you are referring to, the following place has a bunch of this stuff:

its not on firstcadlibrary, and the 2006 kit of parts transmissions are the big gray metal box ones that have 2 cim motor inputs.
These?

If that’s it, the link is near the bottom for the CAD file. It says that these were designed for FIRST… so they could be them.
I’ve been in FIRST for 3 years now… but im a programmer

Nope. The 2005-2006 trannies were custom for FIRST, but they weren’t AndyMarks. Similar size, different configuration. (And no, I don’t have a CAD version. I used gray blocks when I was blocking things out in 2006.)
I have them on a DVD of previous years robots. I’ll upload it tonight after work.
You should be receiving them in an email from me
yup, this looks very good. Thank you, I appreciate this, i tried to make it but was unable to find the info to build the inards. this helped out alot.
Here’s the link to IFI’s CAD model of the 2005/06 Season Kit transmissions:

If you have access to CNC fabrication services, it would be easier to reproduce the AndyMark single-speed transmission as opposed to the IFI ones.
The AndyMark transmissions are essentially exactly the same as the IFI trannies*. The IFI transmissions however used a custom cast aluminum plate (which would be much harder to reproduce), whereas the AndyMark transmissions have two machined 3/16" aluminum plates, with a piece of square box aluminum around the outside. (You could probably eliminate this square box and just use aluminum hex/round stock as spacers if needed instead.)
- The IFI transmission had a 12.755:1 ratio, where as the AndyMark has a 12.75:1 ratio.
after i downloaded these files, i tried to look at them but they were a type of 3ds max format files, are there inventor files?
The files from AndyMark are “step” files. They will come in as blobs known as the base. You can modify them but can not edit existing features. You can add/subtract features. When you save they will be .ipt.
BTW, both AndyMark and IFI have the same ratio.
