25 + 987 + 8

NEW —

The webcast is up. Got to the http://robotics.nasa.gov/events/webcasts/regionals_2006.php

or more directly http://sargasso-3.arc.nasa.gov:10005/vegas

I’m watching the quarterfinals. That 987 and 25 are so hot right now…

That goal is going to commit suicide by the end of the regional…so many balls @_@…

You can tell Las Vegas is a real regional. Mark Leon is there (the Midwest teams may have all car companies, but here on the Pacific coast we have Mark…).

Well it looks like 25, 987 and 8 won the regional, with 1572, 60 and 1527 as the finalists. Congrats to everyone!

Congratulations to Teams 1572, 1527, and 60 on a well-fought finals. The regional was a great one!
(Thank you to 25 and 8 as well- you were great partners!)

Congrats to everyone. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the regional and it was a spectacular one. Congrats to 79 for winning the Chairman’s, 399 for the Engineering Inspiration, and everyone else!

what teams won what awards? we want info!

Congrats to 987 (High Rollers). You guys have an awesome bot and deserved a win. You guys sure lit us up in Phoenix. Congrats!

yep congrats team 987 and 8. I think 987 had to be the best shooter there. And team 8 was a perfect mix of defence and would score a few. It was team 8 smart playing that got us though the elims without a lose. they would play hard defense and then during our offensive round knock in 3 or 4 balls then go back and and play defense again. two thumbs up team 8. you should have never been the last pick. :stuck_out_tongue:

Congratulations and Thanks For a Great Vegas Regional

I would like to say thanks to all for the great hospitality and weekend of fun we just returned from in Vegas. Being so far from home in the company of many new friends was a real lift for the team. The regional committee really did a fine job making the event memorable and with that “Vegas” flair. I especially loved the set of Elvis impersonators doing the Vegas “national anthem” on opening day. And the refs proved that they certainly have a great sense of humor. More regionals should have such flavor.

Of course thanks also to our alliance partners the High Rollers and Paly Robotics. The three of us really clicked and it was truly a great competition. Thanks for being great teammates.

I was especially encouraged by the rookie teams we met over the weekend including the team from Roy, Utah. Watch out for these guys in the next few years!

Well- we got only 3 hours sleep so it is time to…

WC

what happened to the archive? someone told me it was up for some time, and then went down.

Congratulations team 25 on your continued success in FIRST.

… looking forward to seeing you at PARC.

Indeed it was a spectacular regional! Thank you for the congrats on Engineering Inspiration. I would also like to congratulate 79 for winning Chairman’s and the regional winners of the Las Vegas competition.

Congratulations to the winners, I heard some great things about 25 again, not surprising, seeing how they performed in NJ, the webcasts of this regional were really something. Truly a great alliance!

Congrats to any teams as well, from what I could see back here, it looked like a great event.
