Sounds nice there.
GVSU usually has some of the fairer prices though… I <3 that field house to death.
Sounds like fun too with the robots =D I really wish I could be there today.
See ya all tomorrow at the WMR!
Anywhere we can get the match scores? They’re not up on the FIRST website, and I’m getting really anxious
I’ll second that, it seems like all the standings / match scores for the regionals this weekend aren’t up yet.
I’ll be making an appearance with the whole family tomorrow(Saturday)…
anxious They can post the scores for the matches anytime they want now…
pwease can you do that for all the anxiously waiting people who are still at their homes?
I’m not completely sure, but I think the top three are 808, 85
, and 70. Thats how it stands right now.
One thing that kinda made my day, was that team 67, which I think is a good team, needed help with there transmission. I don’t know how they got to us for help, but they came and got me from the stands because I’m the “expert” on the transmission for our team. I’m not, I just put it to gather last year and this year. Anyhoo, I was glad to help, but I’m surprised that they needed help. They are one of the better teams to me. Good luck to all of the team tomorrow.
sounds interesting…
hehe, I’m so up for tomorrow, I can’t wait.
I fell asleep, only to find out it was Firefox being stupid and not showing the updates to the standings and stuff.
'BOUT TIME!
Get that kid started early!

So far this has turning out to be a great competition. A good mix of good defensive low goal scoring robots and Offensive High goal scoring robots.
The highlight of the day for me was probably the awarding of the Woodie Flowers Award to Steve Yasick, probably one of the most moving moments I have ever witnessed in FIRST.
The competition should be heating up even more tomorrow, should be interesting to see how the alliances pan out.
What alliance won today?
How did team 85 (our mentor team) do?
Did everyone have a good time?
How do people like that regional as compared to GLR or Detroit?
We are in Michiagn and I often wonder what the difference between the three regionals is?

19th at GLR
I think the 4th alliance won with teams 70-451-503, Team 85 was second after qualifying matches and won the sliver medal along with the sportsmanship award. It was a blast. The energy was intense and I love it there.
I am so glad to hear you did so well.
You guys are a great mentor team.
We sure appreciate all the support we get from you.
Carolyn
They were an awesome alliance, They sent us packing in the semi’s. I believe everyone had there money on the 27 & 85 aliance though. What a great event. :yikes:
Don’t forget about 910.
Haven’t seen anyone post about this, and I kind of feel bad but I like having some team pride every now and then…We pulled a mini HOT…We won both the regional and the regional chairmans…ISN’T THAT SWEET! I don’t know but I thought that was sweet. I really didn’t think we would win the regional, but it came down to teamwork more than just having one sweet robot. BOB your robot is amazing, very hard to play defense against you guys. I would also like to thank team 70 and team 451, great job with autonomus mode, I could tell if we won the match or not by looking to see if there was a huge jam of balls in the goal. Congrats to all the teams at west michigan, and we’ll be seeing a lot of you at nationals.

Good job team 85 and their alliances. Team 141 supported you the whole time through the finals. We supported all the local teams though. Personally, I think that this year went awesome, and Mrs. Lamotte is so proud of us for coming together moreso than we have in the past as a team.
Even though we aren’t gonna go to nationals this year, we’re gonna see if we can go to some offseason.
Congratulations everyone.
Team 1654 was behind the 27, 85, 910 alliance the whole time wheering you on. Cant wait for nationals and I look forward to the bus ride down with 85!

PS, video will be up of the West Michigan Regional on our site very shortly, about an hour or so.
