2007 Beantown Blitz!

Mark your calendars everyone, because the Northeast’s biggest, best, and baddest one day mini competition is back, and better than ever! (:heart:Alliteration)

Don’t miss your first chance to get back on the field after the Championship! This event is JUST LIKE A REGIONAL. It is held in a hockey arena, and put up with a professional audio/video production company. We’ve got some surprises planned for Rack n’ Roll, and the competition promises to be fiercer than ever…

To register, check out the official Beantown Blitz Website

Date: May 19th, 2007
Location: Matthew’s Arena, Northeastern University, Boston, MA
Cost: $300
Fun: Exponential

Beantown Blitz is hosted by Northeastern University and team 125, the NUTRONS.

Hope to see you all there!!

PS: We are looking for volunteers for the event. If you are interested, check out the “volunteer” section on the BTB web site.

Same day as Monty Madness in NJ. I guess that never got to be changed huh? Oh well… I guess we (and I’m sure some others) will just have to decide where to go now.

There’s a lot of teams in the area. I’m sure both events will be great.

It’s unfortunate that both events need to be held on that weekend. I know that several CT High Schools, like South Windsor, have their prom that night, so I can’t attend, although my team might.

Now if you were willing to move it to the CT Convention Center, I can go straight from competition to prom right next door…

1519 hopes to be there!
I’m looking forward it.
we might bring 2 robots.

Cant wait to be there for my 4th straight year…

cant wait =D

You can count my school in there as well. Even though I love FIRST, you have to know where to draw the line. There is only one senior prom, but there will always be another robotics competition.

I guess I better start training a new base driver for our team for Beantown Blitz…

Hey Everyone,

Championships are just around the corner and so is the Beantown Blitz.

Here is our current list of teams attending. If you would like to attend or volunteer please email [email protected].

I can’t wait to see you all there. We are looking to plan another great event. Look for some interesting twists as well. Maybe even the return of the Mentor Match.

467 will be there!

Still plenty of spots available…I highly recommend bringing your team out for this event. We hold it in what could be a regional setting. Come bring your team and your robot!! (If you have an '05 bot laying around, bring that one too!!)

Keep the Mentors Match. It is a great idea. Our team still talks about that match like it was yesterday. Team 348 will be there to win it this time. We might bring a second robot.

Registration for the event closes in a week, and we still have a few spots open. So, if you want to come now is the time!

Your web site doesn’t mention when a team needs to register by. We are a rookie team (1991 Dragons) hoping for another shot at a competition event and we won’t have a committee meeting until next week 4/24/07.

Registration is first come, first serve until we are full. Spots are still available, but we’ll need a semi-formal commitment…email us at [email protected]

If there is a chance you will be competing, you should probably e-mail Bean Town Blitz and let them know that you may be signing up at the last second.

It looks like this event will be better than ever this year! We look forward to the chance to play with some great new England teams that we have not yet seen this year, as well as some others that we have seen quite a bit of

See you all there!

That tube looks more like a donut than any other tube, since it is delicious glazed dough colored. Mmmmm.

I can’t wait to see what Beantown’s game modification is and how it works out. Between IRI, Beantown Blitz, and Battlecry, we will get a good cross section of how different tweaks to Rack N’ Roll pan out!
