Congrats to all of the regional champs!!! A special way to go goes to the Rambotics team !583 for doing such an awesome job and for allowing us to be a part of your winning season. THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP IN MAKING SUREWE HAD MINI-ME UP AND RUNNING FOR REGIONALS AND FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR ROOKIE SEASON. AGAIN CONGRATS AND CONTINUE BEING HARD-CHARGERS IN ATLANTA.

OMG!!!159, watching them run off the field with their robot to fix it and all, man, it was heart breaking. I love that team and I’m really excited that they’ll be in Atlanta anyway, I can’t wait to see those guys again. Hopefully though they get everything more together and not do a repeat of last year. 159 GO ALPINE!
Man the final score we were confident. Because once 555 and us got onto 1583 with a whole 35s left, we all started adding up the score on the rack, 207 was still scoring at the same time, but they just weren’t fast enough to beat our bonus points. My team told me that match was more thrilling and energy rising than last year but it could be because we were tee finalist out there. Hopefully Team 555 can mail me all theh media stuff they got. My team ran out of battery and memory right at the last threee matches(All the fnal matches man, I can’ believe that!, Oh well, I’ll wait for 555’s e-mail).
I agree, I was so glad to see 159 make it anyways even though we got slaughtered in the quarterfinals. Go Alpine!!! woo-hoo!!!
Teams 1636 (fixed typo!) and 555:
You guys did an awesome job in demonstrating a cooperative spirit!! You gave us the opportunity to do our job well and really stayed on top of your game. I have not seen any other group, such as I saw in our alliance, slow 3 minutes down the way we did. It was the persistence to get past the stalled bot in the second match that allowed us the opportunity to play a third.
I appreciate everyone’s effort of course, but you guys brought us to Atlanta. Thank you!!
Sincerely,
Russell E. Burchill

lol, you’re welcome, that was a lot of fun. The endless pictures taken were even fun too. lol, at least I’m the not only one that goofs on team numbers.
Come to think of it, those matches did seem longer than it usually is. Probably because so much was happening in those matches. oh it was the second match, sorry, I guess my mind was still racing when i was typing up about the matches. Plus I think I typed it up late at night. completely dehydrated and completely tired.
What a fun regional. I’m the driver of 1515 and I’ve got to say this has been the best competition I’ve been to. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone who’s going to Atlanta. Great job and good luck in the national competition!
Also: Look for another episode of our tv show, MorTorq TV, at youtube.com/mortorqtv sometime this week. The episode is live from the 2007 Colorado regional!
It was lots of fun. 1339 went with all rookie members, unpolished code, inexperienced drivers, and a not so excellent robot, and we still managed to enjoy it. We probably wont do too much better next year because most of the team was seniors, but we’ll try.
We were the team with the coolest looking robot. It had a ladder.
OH DUDE!!! I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I loved it!.
Don’t sweat it! Due to our team’s unique circumstances we have a completely new group of students every year, yet managed to come up with the right idea to be on the winning alliance.
My only regret is that out of 45 teams only 3 can win the competition. There were SO many great teams and great robots I wish all 45 teams were going to Atlanta! I am also very sorry for the 3 Montana teams that could not make it due to the weather. Keep your heads up and know that regardless of whether or not you were able to compete you did some great work, learned a lot of valuable lessons, and we look forward to seeing you next year.
That was a shame we were short 3 teams. Could have made a big difference on the regional. Could have added to the excitement too.
Ok guys and gals youtube just rendered the final match video our photogs shot once again a big thanks to all on team 555 and 1636 Lightwaves
AHHH! That’s so cool, really good footage. That really gets me excited for Champs even more now.

I almost forgot. Team 1636 would like to thank The S.H.A.R.C. Team for returning a poofball back to us. It was unexpected and unnecessary be really cool. It gave me a good laugh to see a poofball after a losing match since I was last year’s driver too. Ah, the memories, and I can’t wait for the new ones.
This was my last regional as a member of 555 (and the programmer), and I’m quite happy 'bout it. An awesomely-fun regional, to which a win was but icing.
I’m annoyed that we didn’t get an auton lock in the final matches, but it took until that day to get the program fully functional (such bugs and other nasties I’ve never seen), and I’m comfortably satisfied with it. Also justified the Innovation in Control award to have a few caps :D.
Anyway, does anyone have video of the finals from the press feed or otherwise? Our Cowon DVR’s battery died and I’d love a record for the team video.
Thanks to all you midwesterners.
GO BEEF!!!
anyways, yea our cowon died and we would really like footage of the second to last match (where we bashed 1636 off the ramp to get on), those were some intense moments. Good job everyone!
GO BEEF!!!
Once again, great job to everyone and I look forward to seeing you all in Atlanta!
Our media guys videoed all the finals on our HD camcorder. It will take us a while to edit the raw footage. You can rest assured you guys on 555 and 1636 will be the first to get a copy. When you guys on 555 pushed 1636 out of the way to ramp was definetly one of the most exciting moments of the competition. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you in Atlanta.
Ok here it is second to last match Team 555 saves the day enjoy…
Assume job 555
1583, I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Thank you so much!! Now we’ll have some exciting stuff to get our school more involved and help keep our team from shutting down after this year because, even though I’m a senior, I still want 1636 to keep running with the other Colorado teams too.
That was so close!!! That was so freakin’ awesome driving 555 to get us out of the way!!! Watching our robot go down made my heart just shatter to like, “Darn it, not the mast!!”, because if you guys remembered or not, after the match where 1583 broke down, our mast got bent in to where our arm could not escape the chassis. But we made it!!
TEAM 207 here… in denver regionals we owned. Not to make anyone jealous. Sorry to say, but we were first to score keeper in autonomous… then we had the most scored keepers and we had the highest score in a match.!!
DENVER rocked and loved having team BLITZ and MORTORQ for alliances…!!!
:]
not jealous at all.
