its gonna be awesome this year!!!
The teams in the Finger Lakes area as well as some teams from other States and Canada descended upon Rochester over Halloween weekend for the RaChaCha Ruckus event. (http://ruckus.penfieldrobotics.com)
If those teams are any indicator, the upcoming Finger Lakes Regional in March 2007 will be a real BLAST.
Congrats to the RaChaCha ruckus committee and onwards to 2007!
Im Very excited for the Finger Lakes competition in 2007. Its going to be amazing! It was a lot of fun last year with the aim high game.
Finger Lakes regional happens to fall on my spring break this year, if any teams are going and have extra hotel space or any one else is heading up teamless and would like to share a room let me know, I would love to go but it would be too expensive to stay in a room my self.
Also if any teams would like an extra set of hands let me know, otherwise I think I will be volunteering.
Wow, 365 and 191 at the same competition. From what I understand about the levels of spirit from these two teams, it’s gonna be close.
Add in 772(last year’s spirit winner) and the design of the venue and the pad is gonna be rockin’!
Seven seven who?
The X-cats are always a fun team to have at an event, and they seem to have a never-ending conga-line going. Too bad they can’t distribute their “cat food” anymore.
Finger Lakes will be a new venue for us, but from the reports we hear it is one rockin’ regional! March 7th can’t arrive too early!
it is a great regional…its not a really big regional but it is starting to grow…it has a very intimate feel but it is definatly worth it…im personally looking forward to seeing ur team thier…its nice to see some of the higher profile teams coming to FLR

Ellery
Yeah I heard that Ellery might be there… and that he might be hard to miss…
but the question is, will those leather pants return as well?
Fortunately or Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it!) I heard not… I think he is opting for something more breathable!!
Here is a collection of all the robot pictures I was able get ahold of, thanks Joel and Ed.
I’m psyched for FLR, let’s make this year even better than the past two!
What do you do when your high school team comes to FLR and the team you are mentoring comes to FLR and both teams what you to cheer with them?
Volunteer.
Can’t wait to reset the field!

haha, smart move!
Nice picture references jay, those could help a lot. Also for more FLR robots in action, I believe ed has some videos from Rally…
You are still going to have to cheer with/for us though :-p
1 Week away! Anyone else excited b/c I know I am. Its going to be awsome this year!
Question, why is my lovely bot ‘Rover’ classified as defensive? I mean we had a round or two where our compresser went blah, but I thought everyone saw us pwning those plastic tubes at the rally. Just wondering if thats supposed to be some sort of jab or if it was just a miscalculation or whathaveyou.
haha, I just realized that the only ramp score at the rally was CougarTech on Devil Tech.
I am sure that it was by no means an intentional jab against your team. probably just a mis-interpretation of the picture by someone who did not attend the rally. An intentional jab would be very ungracious and unacceptable.
