Congratulations to Alliance #3 [1713 - 1450 - 250]

The number 3 alliance WINS!!!

YEAH 250, 1713, 1450!!!

WOW what an amazing day for our team. For those of you not at the competition, our alliance (#7 - 1728, 1405, 772) was made up entirely of defensive/ramp robots who could not score ringers. That we even won a single match was incredible for us (let alone making it to the semi finals!!). I’d like to REALLY thank 1728 and 1405 for picking us, as we had so many problems with our robot over the past couple days. We all feel extremely fortunate.

Congratulations to all of the winners and competitors (esp. 1511 for their Chairman’s award). I’m not sure I have seen so many underdogs win in elimation matches in a single competition; it made for some extremely exciting matches.

Also thanks to everyone who cheered with us, it was great fun! (sorry to the person on 1126 who I hit with the GM flag a few times while waving it! Haha!)

Major thanks to 365 and 191. We just wish we could’ve played with you guys some more. Major bummer that our suction was off and our lift didn’t… lift. To think it might’ve been because of a loose nut. yarrr… anywho, great competition everybody. Hopefully we’ll see some of you in Atlanta (if we get the money) and the team will most def see you guys at future competitions. Thanks to everyone who made it and fun and exciting experience.

I got the first hour of the first day I’ll put it on our website as soon as I can. I also have a video of you guys winning the chairmans award you may be interested in which I will add to the site as well.

There are resources available to help you with the monay problem.
Spread the word of your accomplishment throughout your school and town. Also there are teams able to help you out with fundraising in the area.

Yeah, we have multiple avenue’s we are going to explore very shortly, it’s just that it’s still an if and not a sure thing.

Congratulations to the winners and all the teams this weekend. I was just happy to make this event fun and exciting for you all being that this was my first time MC’ing and event. I appreciate all the kind words and being able to talk to alot of you. If you have some feedbacks for me I’d really appreciate it.

Jondar Bradshaw (Buckeye) was a great person to be my announcer, don’t you agree?

Once again great show from everyone!

I agree. He does a great job.

Our extreme leap of membership brought on that problem, the way to combat it is to set up a meeting with a particular group of companies. The truth is if you get the meeting with a company that the students on your team are the main presentors you allmost always walk out with something.

And also thanks to Ellery! You did a great job as MC!

Too bad 1728 fell off our ramp.

Congrats to 1511 for their very well deserved Chairmans Award.

Thanks to 229 and 1559 for being awesome alliance partners.

Congrats to 340, 1518, and 354 for being finalists.

Congrats to 1713, 1450, and 250 as champions for 2007 FLR.

Congrats to NYC & NJ Team at the Finger Lakes Regional!

General Motors Industrial Design Award to Team 316- PSEG/Dupont/SCC, Carneys Point, NJ.

Judges Award- “Team That Never Sleeps Award” to Team 354-Weshtinghouse HS, Brooklyn.

Regional Finalist #2 to Team 354-Westinghouse HS, Brooklyn; or the FRC team which I usually call “The Robot Guys across the street.”

Great job to all the teams, it was a really fun regional to watch.
Congrats to team 1511 for the Chairman’s Award! I am so happy that I was able to come down and see it happen. I am so proud of you guys and miss you so much. I can’t wait until Boston with you guys!

I was so impressed by all the teams! Good luck if you plan to go elsewhere  and remember – HAVE FUN!

Jondar Bradshaw was amazing with his play by play, and it was a great pleasure to eat and talk with them last night. Ellery, you were awesome as MC. Congrats to the winning alliance for all your hard work to get there. 1511, all I can say is congrats on all the hard work you put into the award. It has been amazing working with you this past year and seeing how much you do to spread the word of FIRST.

To all involved in the Finger Lakes Regional:

Excellent job! This was MOE 365’s first visit to Rochester and we had a great time. The venue was fantastic, everyone was professional and friendly, and the teams were competitive and gracious. Also, the team social was a nice break from the stress of the day.

Rochester Weather Gods - thanks for showing us the diversity of weather in the area - from below freezing and snow to jacket weather and rain.

Congratulations to the Finalists and Champions, you played some great matches.

Uber-congrats to Team 1511, a very deserving Chairman’s Award winner.

And special thanks to all the friends we made over the past few days.

Perhaps we will see you again next year!

Best of luck during the rest of the season!
