I donāt think thereās been a problem with robots not making it to back to back domestic regionals. The only time itās been a problem was when teams try to do back to back international regionals. There were several teams from San Diego last year that went to LA and then Las Vegas the following weekend all of their robots made it there on time.
Team 1636 is going to Colorado Regional. Yay! Plus the team has been thinking of going to a second regional. Itās been a unanimous vote for Arizona but then again thereās no real telling because weāre still looking for new sponsors but itās looking good.
This is a misleading statement. While you will be fine with San Diego and Vegas, you can run into all kinds of problems with domestic back to back regionals.
For example, if you tried to ship from NY to CA for back to back regionals, itās not going to get there on time, without you paying extra.
Interesting factā6/10 robots that tried to do back to back regionals in different time zones werenāt there on thursday morning last year.
We are Definitely attending the finger lakes regional and most likely the Bukeye Regional. I will def be attending the nationals though!
Team 1516 will be attending Silicon Valley, and maybe Davis, and IF and Only IF we can find a way to qualify at a regional to go to the Championship, which is my pie in the sky goal, but our program is making huge strides in many areas so you never knowā¦
Portland again this year, as always. Its such a nice regional and the all the teams that go there are really friendly!
Our team is also looking into attending a regional within California but they are filling fast! :ahh:
California Regionals Are REALLY FUn! especially Southern California Regionals⦠i think there are still spots open⦠iād definetly go⦠only b/c our teamās from southern california⦠but honestly⦠great teams, and a great time!
We are going to Silicon Valley and maybe Dvis-Sacramento regionals. We hope we win one of the two regionals so we can go to the championships.
Team 4 is going to:
Las Vegas
Los Angeles - again
Atlanta - best one ever!!! :yikes:
This year should be fun⦠See you guys out there
Team 1549 will, as always, be attending the Great Lakes Regional.
And hopefully weāll have a decent name this year.
SparX are definitly attending Finger Lakes, Buckeye, and as far as i know Champs!
Team 1190 wonāt be competing next year, but if we were, then we would attend the Colorado regional.
Team 375 is coming to the New Jersey regional, the Pittsburgh regional, and the New York City regional. Back-to-back-to-back. Can you say hectic? :ahh::yikes::ahh:
Dan
Why arenāt you competing next year?
We are officially signed up for the Wisconsin Regional and the Greater Toronto Regional.
If all (or most) of the pending teams register, Arizona and Finger Lakes will be the only US regionals not filled. I donāt believe Iāve ever seen the regional list so full before.
166 is going to the Granite State Regional and the Boilermaker Regional.
We are officially registered for both, and I canāt wait!
Sign up for Finger Lakes! it is a blast!! u will love it!!! Sign up!!!
Believe it or not, Chesapeake almost always opens up additional spots for teams who want to go after the deadline. We usually get 11 or 12 teams in addition to the first 54 and I know there were several teams pending that could not get in (by the time 2199 registerred) (204, 224, 1676, 1895, 1975 namely). There might be some teams coming in, who may decide in the last minute to go as we are actually 1 under our original limit. (2 teams left: 2086 left to join 1893 and 2088 is building up for next year.) So in theory, there is one more spot (regularly open). 53 teams means way too much room! (The current venue fits 70 teams comfortably, with plenty of stands/pit room left (unless TJ2 comes again). The only problem is needing a second field. There were 65 last year and I think 60 in 2005 and the regional has averaged over 60 teams since 2004. Just food for thought and something to tell FIRST to open up Chesapeake Regional
Team SparX 1126 will be going to the Finger Lakes regional and will also be attending the Buckeye regional this year. We will then be attending the Nationals!
ALSO LIKE DYLAN SAID: SIGN UP FOR THE FINGER LAKES REGIONALā¦ITāS A BLAST!
