After asking team a strong frc team what wheels they used for their shooter, their response was the 2007 skywheels used in the KOP. So I went searching around for them online and could only find the 2008 KOP wheels which are very similar but offer slightly less traction. So, I was wondering if anyone could help direct me to a place to buy those wheels. Sorry if this is wrong thread. It seemed most appropriate.
2007 was the first year that AndyMark provided the KoP (Kit of Parts) wheels. During previous years, Skyway wheels were provided in the KoP, and teams had to figure out how to effectively drive the wheel with a hub, sprocket or shaft.
The 2007 KoP wheel did have slightly higher traction than the 2008 KoP wheel (both provided by AndyMark). FIRST requested the 2008 wheel to have a slightly lower coefficient of friction due to the nature of the 2008 game.
The 2007 wheel with a higher coefficient of friction is no longer available to be purchased from AndyMark. However, we are considering offering a wider array of wheels with various durometer treads this summer.
