2007 NEMO annual meeting-Fri. April 13

NEMO –Announcing the 3rd FIRST NEMO (Non-Engineering Mentor Organization) Annual Meeting!

When: Friday April 13, 2007, 10-11:30 am Feel free to drop in anytime.

Where: Room C206 at the GWCC.

What: This will be an opportunity to meet and greet your fellow NEM's. We will be distributing a list of NEMO resources, and the limited edition NEMO buttons. We will have an open discussion, addressing any immediate concerns brought by the group. Moderated by Jenny Beatty, NEMO co-founder. 

Who: This meeting is open to all current members of NEMO and any adult who would like to join.

About NEMO:  Non-Engineering Mentor Organization is a support group and information exchange for those adult mentors who help teams as part of the FIRST programs, including JFLL/FLL/FVC and FRC. NEMO has a central clearinghouse for information that will benefit all teams. NEMs help with all the behind-the-scenes glue that hold the teams together including mentor recruitment and retention, travel, hotels, endless meals, parent involvement, fundraising, business plans, public relations, community service, team building and FIRST logistics.

Once again, this NEM is going to be off NEM’ing at that time - reffing in the FLL tournament. They’ve already told us we’re not going to get much time for lunch, because we will be on an agressive match schedule and may need to use our breaks as catch-up time. Oh well, someday we will actually meet in person, rather than passing in the internet.

The Queen of NEMs will not be attending either. Kathie is judging FVC during this time.
For all you vols-make sure you say hi when you are checking in. That is where I will be much of Wed and Thurs-the expediter-making sure you are filling out your paperwork before you register!

Yes, I’m looking forward to volunteering again in Atlanta, but sad that I will miss the Annual Meeting… :frowning:
