2007 New York City Regional

I just got back, and it was a REALLY fun event.

Congratulations to all teams that were there, y’all did great!

Wayne, I’m still a little miffed at you for completely humiliating me on the field, but i think i’ll get over it :stuck_out_tongue:

Wayne & George did an amazing job keeping everyone excited and focusing on the field, even if some of it WAS at my expense…

Overall, a really great event to visit. Hopefully next year will be even bigger & better!

Congrats to GHouse, Sparta and Blazing Phoenix for winning the gold. Plague, Bound Brook and Stuypulse had an amazing run throughout the tournament, especially for such an enjoyable final match.

Brooklyn Tech lived up to their team name, winning Enginnering Inspiration
2265 The Fe Maidens won Rookie All Stars

and finally

WE WON CHAIRMANS!!!

SEE YOU GUYS IN ATLANTA

Awesome regional from what I saw yesterday, the space the that Javit’s center gives you gives you a lot of options to play with, and I know it’s minor, but the match queuing space being so large was really nice, I wish every regional was set up the way it was. I like the idea of 2 fields and more teams, that could be a lot of fun. Oh did anyone get to stop by the MAKE table? They ran a pretty big article on their blog, Pretty cool stuff I had fun and the teams looked good.

Also, Plague, you left your flag behind. Don’t worry, its safe and currently in the back of our shop. PM me or Simon Strauss for retrieval info.

we sure are happy with engineering inspiration, i heard our team president cried with happiness :stuck_out_tongue: (darn i hope he doesn’t see this post lol)

Congratulations to SciBorgs for winning the NYC Regional Chairman’s Award.
You guys earn it!!
Best wishes at the Championship.

Congratulations to all the teams that participated! Thank you to all the volunteers! You all truly make the New York City Regional a wonderful event, and I’m glad to have been a part of it!

Congratulations to 2274, 1302, and 354 on a well-played 3 finals matches! Also congrats to 1089’s New Jersey pit neighbors, 1155, on winning the Regional Chairman’s Award!

Can’t wait for next year!

…and that was just the broom closet!!

Now that they have Javits, Manhattan will surely grow to double the size. They certainly have the room…

Don

does anyone have clips from the elimination rounds and finals?
my team’s tryin to collect media stuff for our sponsors and people who weren’t at the competition from our team
thanks in advance

Here’s video from the competition: http://www.soap.circuitrunners.com/2007/movies/ny/

So if everyone could go ahead and NOT watch the video entitled Intermission I’d be very grateful…my dancing skills in that clip are pretty atrocious.

But, but, the somersault…and…

OMG, It’s Libby Kamen!!!

Mmmmmm… now I must watch and savor the moments!
(BTW- nice job with co-emcee)

thanks for the link!

Like George said…DON’T watch that, thanks.

Not my fault Wayne dragged me out there.
No, literally, DRAGGED me. Anyone who was there knows what I’m talking about.

the only bad part is the camera angle. The view of your flip was much better from where MORT was sitting

Thanks to both you and Libby for being such great sports:)

Perhaps next years NJ FLL can have a flip and dancing? hint hint

The things I do to entertain the crowd…I hope everyone enjoyed themselves…I know I did.

George, you know we all appreciate you.

You and Wayne put on an AMAZING weekend. It was hands down, the best New York City regional I’ve been too, and for that…

I salute you! salutes
