looks like 56, 375, 694 took second to 1302, 354, 2274 (watched the SOAP video).
That is correct.
Great job to all teams at the 2007 New York City Regional!!!
I just got home, and my legs are about to fall off and my throat feels like sand paper, but I have to say that this was one of the best NYC regionals we’ve ever had. The excitement couldn’t be matched, and some of the finishes to elims were insane!
Congrats to 1302 for taking home their second win in as many regionals, and 354 for finally breaking over the hump and taking the gold.
And to 2274, They’re a great ramp bot, and even though they’re rookies, watch out for them in Atl!
Just got back from the NYC Regional as well, Thanks to George and Wayne for keeping the level of excitement way up there. Thanks to all the teams who came and participated and congradulations to all those who went home with some well earned awards. If anyone was watching on NASA’s webcast you may have heard Dean emphasize on how much he would like to make the NYC Regional the biggest one in the country which means a good possibilty with the right Regional Sponsorship could buy us 2 fields and expand. The Javitts Center as I and many others have said is HUGE and can easily accomodate another 20 - 30 teams as well as another field setup.
BTW George you missed it - The A/V crew starting lowering the Lights and half way through the bank of lights it snapped in 2. The only thing holding together was the power cables to the lighting. Fortunately no one was hurt nevertheless a heart stopper. Looks like we ended just in time.
I just got back, and it was a REALLY fun event.
Congratulations to all teams that were there, y’all did great!
Wayne, I’m still a little miffed at you for completely humiliating me on the field, but i think i’ll get over it
Wayne & George did an amazing job keeping everyone excited and focusing on the field, even if some of it WAS at my expense…
Overall, a really great event to visit. Hopefully next year will be even bigger & better!
Congrats to GHouse, Sparta and Blazing Phoenix for winning the gold. Plague, Bound Brook and Stuypulse had an amazing run throughout the tournament, especially for such an enjoyable final match.
Brooklyn Tech lived up to their team name, winning Enginnering Inspiration
2265 The Fe Maidens won Rookie All Stars
and finally
WE WON CHAIRMANS!!!
SEE YOU GUYS IN ATLANTA
Awesome regional from what I saw yesterday, the space the that Javit’s center gives you gives you a lot of options to play with, and I know it’s minor, but the match queuing space being so large was really nice, I wish every regional was set up the way it was. I like the idea of 2 fields and more teams, that could be a lot of fun. Oh did anyone get to stop by the MAKE table? They ran a pretty big article on their blog, Pretty cool stuff I had fun and the teams looked good.

Now that they have Javits, Manhattan will surely grow to double the size. They certainly have the room…

So if everyone could go ahead and NOT watch the video entitled Intermission I’d be very grateful…my dancing skills in that clip are pretty atrocious.
But, but, the somersault…and…
