195 and 25 are my picks
Who’s announcing, I have an idea, but I can somebody there reassure my suspicions?
Is that 229’s own Joel Johnson?!?!?!
Two spoilers sighted in a match with 40 and 20 in it! (I don’t know the other teams, the webcast isn’t clear enough) First ones I’ve ever seen.
Imho, the best teams so far are:
195
25
173
176
Just in case and one hadn’t heard yet 25 is good, a row of 8 w/ defense being played, and they still made it up the ramp for 2@12 inches.
25 just scored 316 points! A row of 8 and 2 bots above 12".
another 316 posted
Hey, would anyone be able to post the rankings as of the end of Friday’s competition? I’m an alumni stuck in NJ
Yes it was!
Do to the weather some teams were not allowed to stay. Which kinda stinks. Other things happened too, but I will let someone else tell you so I am not accused of being bias.
today went very well, i must admit. good luck to all the teams tomorrow!
(glad that we got our autonomous mode to work 3/7 times today… which is good considering our massive EMI, drivetrain, and transmission problems earlier)
40 is in 1st. 25 is top 5, maybe 4th?
The qualification day was a ton of fun! Competition is intense. So far they have not posted the results/schedule and the standings on the usfirst.org website.
All the teams have 10 matches, 6 today (Friday, depending on when you read this) and 4 on Saturday.
Speaking of Saturday, the regional has been delayed ONE hour because of the snow and sleet and the driving conditions in the weather. That means the pit opens at 9 AM and opening ceremonies at 10 AM.
Now it’s time to go over scouting and then catch some zzzz’s.
I would personally like to say thank you to team 176, Aces High, for the gracious perfessionalism that they demonstrated today.
In the middle of the competition, for various school, snow and board of education reasons, our team was forced to stop competing (for the rest of today, atleast). Thanks to an amazing team, we were still able to have our robot out on the field.
Thank you to the three drive team members on team 176 who stepped in to drive two matches with 177’s robot. Without ever having driven the robot before, they were able to score a ringer, and play great defense!
Thank you guys so much,
This goes to show how awesome FIRST is.
I believe you speak for our entire team when you say that. Not only did Aces allow us to keep competing, but we also even won a round :D. Good work and thank you team 176.
Team 25 was crazy fast at scoring tubes!:yikes:
The snow really made it bad for some teams that had to go home. I feel bad for them. I got to sign Woodie Flower’s shirt though (so did a lot of other people). Going 20 mph home on the highway was rough.
Took a long time getting home tonight. Hope every got home safely and arrives safely in the morning.
(And I got to sign Woodie Flowers’ shirt too!!!
)
Some rough stats for you all…
