Awesome!
Giddy Up!
I canāt say I have ever seen this many people this excited over some bleachers. Good luck at FLR everyone.
Wow. Now if you would all just give me happy reps ⦠
Iām looking forward to the change. I think Saturdayās atmosphere is going to be fantastic!
Now where are the kids going to play Frisbee and football? Theyāre going to have to sit in stands instead. lol.
Team 1503 may be the best source to ask since they have to deal with crossing the border so often.
Of course with the new changes no one may be able to tell what will happen.
In all the years Iāve been travelling to competitions in the States with 296 and then 1503, weāve never once been stopped on account of tools and equipment carried across the border, in either direction. On 296 we never prepared any paperwork; on 1503 last year we had an itemized list of the contents of the cargo van (listing items and country of origin) as well as an export control form for each way, but were never asked to show anything to anyone.
I donāt think the rules would be any different for just passing through. Someone at GM might know more; I imagine it would be common to go through Canada when visiting the Tonawanda plant, for example.
Technically, if a company needs its employees to pass through Canada with some equipment, itās supposed to possess a temporary importation bond. Thatās a lot of paperwork and a long wait at both borders. (Iāve done this with the University, and a bunch of equipment; itās no fun.)
On the other hand, you can make the trip as a normal traveller; itās legal, but they can still search you, and compel you to pay duties. Odds are, youāll be fine, but you could be directed to wait for an agent to search through everything, negating the time savings. Assuming youāve only got conventional tools, and nothing in saleable condition, you probably want to do this.
We are gonna meet 1503 in canada, so maybe it will be a good idea
We can ask them, But im pretty sure Ken has a way around it. If 67,68 need answers, im sure u can ask him
I was wondering who gave 2228 (CougarTech) their info for the cards they wanna make. I sent in ours today.
Joe: He is not 21. And implying that is ridiculous.
He is very clearly 22.
Whatās all this? I donāt think our team even knows about itā¦

Team 2228 has a project to make trading cards of all the FLR teams. They passed out a flier at the Rochester Rally on Feb 18. Here is the link to the download page on their website where you can find the details. I have no idea how many teams are doing this, but it does sound like a good momento of the event. http://hflrobotics.com/downloads/FIRSTTradingCard.pdf

MOE 365 submitted info for the cards.
Some of those questions, actually, most of them are all opinionated and will not be known until the end of the season. Almost no teams have competed in a full match and can tell what their % is. Id rather have them be a picture and just a summary of the team. :). Plus if they did all FIRST teams it would be 1500 different cards to collect. Its a trading card game nightmare!
For the % i just said we arnāt sure, since i filled out the info.
