2008 Regional Dates

What I’ve heard for seattle is that it will be at the Key Arena (possibly just a rumor), and I haven’t heard much beyond speculation about dates.

Will team 1983 possibly be seeing the high rollers up here in seattle? We’re not sure yet if we’re going to have the funds for 3 regionals, and we are definitely attending portland and seattle. I know many of our members would like to go back down to vegas though, we were thrilled to get a win under our belts in vegas our rookie year. You guys were definitely a team for us to look up to.

The High Rollers are indeed planning to attend the new Seattle Regional, especially if it is scheduled during the first couple of weeks. We are excited about a chance to visit Seattle (who wouldn’t be?). We are hoping to continue the momentum gained co-winning the Championship in Atlanta and think being a part of a new regional is a great way for the kids to continue growing…

Does anybody have ANY idea when the Canadian regionals near Toronto will be? (GTR and Waterloo?). If any of them are on the weekend of the 22nd than I’ll be freezing in Canadia.

The **BIG APPLE **(NYC) Regional- possibility week six.

(…just waiting for the confirmation from the venue. It will be 80-100 FRC teams and possible a two-field event)

Philly Regional - March 27-29, 2008
10th Anniversary of FIRST in Philadelphia

Week Six! Does this mean other regionals can be on week 6? or is this an NYC-only kind of thing?

Does anyone know, or have an idea, for the regional dates for New England area?
Like the Manchester or Boston regionals…

Manchester is almost always Week 1, I don’t know about Boston.

I believe the past two years Boston has been week 4.

I’m thinking Boston will be week 4 next year as well.

So Manchester is the first week and Boston is the forth week, thanks for that. Are any other regionals in my area that my team could go to, I live in a town not to far from Boston.

In the greater northeast area you have FRC Regionals in Manchester, NH, Boston, MA, Hartford, CT, NYC, Long Island, NY, and then spreading out further from that are the Trenton, NJ, Philadelphia and Pittsburg, PA regionals, Finger Lakes, etc. Lots of opportunities.

And please note that while much of this information is being released by people “in the know”, nothing’s official until FIRST releases the schedule.

What, the three games weren’t enough for us? Me thinks you’re addicted! (Actually, it’s never enough.) I might go down to Long Island next year so I can explain the game to my father. Much better than trying to explain it over the phone. 80+ years old and he goes over to watch.

Philidelphia? Pittsburgh? Annapolis? New Jersey? Hartford? Long Island? NYC?(I’m not familiar with the east coast so I don’t know the distances.)

Assming that everything stays as expected FLR should be March 6-8

Greg, you know what they say about assming? It makes an … assming?

I believe everything will be the same, Those are the dates I have on my calendar.

1st or second week regional?

it is typically the 2nd week of regionals… but looking at the dates it is very possible that it could be a week 1 regional this coming year.

You can never get enough of FIRST! Next year, the more regionals the better! (maybe I am addicted:D )

The planning committe is still working on nailing down dates for the OKC Regional. We would love to have it fall where it does not fall iether up against Houston or Kansas City. As soon as something is firmed up hopefully that information can be released.
We are looking forward to a fantastic first FIRST event.

Ken

Was told unofficially that it could be week 3 also as no concrete date has been set. “Unofficially” VCU during week 2 also and NOT week 1.
