2008 Stanley Cup Play-offs

So who else is excited to see Colorado play Washington in the Stanley Cup finals?

Dude i am pretty pissed the Flyers blew it tonight. 4-2 and than washington comes back 5-4. how in the hell.

By losing focus on Green and letting him score twice promptly followed by Ovi being Ovi and scoring the game winner. Thatā€™s how.

LETS GO CAPS!! I thought about going but decided to save the money for ATL. I got kinda scared when Alex didnā€™t have any shots on goal through the first 2 periods, but he came through.

Iā€™m not much of a hockey fan, but as a former Montrealer I am of course cheering for the Habs. Poor Bruins - I think the Canadiens have beaten them 11 times in a row, now.

You know what Iā€™m not happy about?

My sister got 2 free tickets for the Sharks on Thursday! And Iā€™m gonna be in Atlantaā€¦ :frowning:

Yeah, I saw that on VS when they were just figuring it was in the leg or something he could just walk off. Bad times for him.

Go Sharks!

I hope not. I want my Wild to win at least one series, preferably more!

Even though the one PP goal was pretty cheap. A man hurt on the ice and play wasnā€™t called dead? Pretty gay. I think if he outs steve downie is be playing next game and that might get ugly.

The way the game of hockey has been enforced for the more than 15 years that Iā€™ve been a fan of it state that itā€™s basically a referee judgment call. If they think the defending player struck by the puck isnā€™t seriously hurt (puck to the face) then they wonā€™t blow their whistles. They donā€™t want a situation where after every blocked shot the defender will stay on the ice to get a stoppage in play, especially after a series of a minute or more of constant pressure. It was obvious that the puck was nowhere near his face when it hit him, and hit him in his lower to mid-body. Itā€™s too bad he got hit where he was hit (luckily ESPN says heā€™s alright enough not to have surgery), and it would suck to have your team (whether youā€™re a part of it or a fan) scored against on a play where a player was hurt, but it has happened in the past and will happen in the future. Itā€™s part of the game.

Agreed. Part of the reason Iā€™m not a soccer fan is the ā€œdivingā€ that takes place late in games. I donā€™t want something similar in the NHL.

My boys pulled it off in game 2. Lets hope that they can take game 3.

Go Sharks! Thatā€™s just about all I can say

Roho. I would love to see the Devils get past the first round. However, doesnt seem like it will happen.

Iā€™m cheering on the Avsā€¦man, I wasnā€™t sure how it was going to be against the Wild, but just wow, OT on both games:ahh: and man Sakic in the first game!..Iā€™m hoping for the Avs tomorrow! woo-hoo Iā€™m excited, theyā€™ll be back in their hometown.

Brilliant game last night for the Devilsā€¦ Maddenā€™s centering try going off Stahlā€™s skate and past Lunqvistā€¦absolutely brilliantā€¦:D!

(hope I spelled/got all those names right- particularly Lundqvist)

I like how NO ONE int he thread said anything about DETā€¦

Letā€™s go Red Wings! clap clap clap clap clap
