2008 Team lists

Did anyone start a list/spreadsheet of which teams are going to which events for 2008?

I searched but could not find a post.

Also, I found it interesting that there are only 135 teams registered for the Championship.

there all on the USFIRST website.

on this page theres a list of all of the regionals and a link to the team list for each one

http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/regionalevents.aspx?id=430

Mike’s been doing this for a few years, so I’m guessing he already knows about the info on the FIRST site. He might be looking for the same data in spreadsheet form. Such a spreadsheet could be very useful for scouting, especially at Week 3-5 regionals and at the Championship.

It’s likely that Karthik is working on something like what Mike wants, and will release it after a while. He’s done that in previous years.

Meanwhile, maybe someone else would like to start a spreadsheet with a row for each team on this list and a column for each regional on this one? Then put an X (or something) to indicate the regionals where each team is scheduled to compete.

I should have been clearer… Yes a spreadsheet.

The Info on FIRST is there but a spreadsheet showing it in one location is better…

Yes we are always planning ahead for scouting and basic planning.

All you had to do was ask…

All of this data is in The Blue Alliance database. If it would be convenient, we could figure out some good format for it to export to so it was easy to grab the latest data automagically. Would this be useful?

Team 555 is attending 4 regionals :ahh: :ahh: ZOMG!!

They better build a tough bot :yikes: Is this a first in FIRST history?

No, Team 141 attended four regionals in 2004 (Great Lakes, Chesapeake, Buckeye, West Michigan).

Thanks Jack…

This is just what I was looking for…

Nice job…

This will come in handy.

Will this list be updated over some time?
Because I know my team, Team 102, is going to 2 regionals and not just one. It might be the case for some other teams in the next few days or weeks.

Yes, that’s right. I’m thrilled with how much the robotics program in our High School… and even our whole town has grown since I’ve graduated. I won’t be helping with their build season much this year (I’m now in Rochester helping frc1930) but, I’m confident that the team will impress me with another tough and efficient robot.

You can probably though find me at least at 2 of those events catching a glimpse of 555… as well as 2 or 3 other events volunteering.

Also, the excel sheet is a great resource. Thank you much!

Greg,

If TBA could export it in .CSV and provide a link then anyone who wanted to download it could (and it would work in almost any spreadsheet program) as well as the team websites could link to it.
