Interesting.
I don’t think HOF teams are required to do the Chairman’s submission anymore and when we did we just copy/paste our old one and focus on designing our HOF display.

It keeps us sharp!

Nothing wrong with that.
Hopefully you enjoyed making your HOF display.
I think all teams should get to make such displays to show off at the regionals so the Chairman’s award is visible at the regionals.

HOT still puts together a submission in addition to our HoF display. I was under the impression (and I’m not a Chairman’s mentor, so I don’t know for certain) that the submission is how we get “stars” each year

1712 entry and video linked from here:

We received an email last fall from FIRST saying that HOF teams are not required to submit a Chairman’s submission this year, so I assume that they are doing away with the stars (which most people had no idea what they meant anyway). MOE did a 10 year retrospective video instead, which has already been posted.

I watched this video a couple of times over the weekend. It is a treasure and I really appreciate the fact that some of you awesome MOE folks have the link to this treasure in your signature section in your posts. It was fun to finally get to see the MOE sticks in action.

I hope teams continue to post their 2009 Chairman’s submissions. They are a great inspiration at the end of a long build season, for sure.

How do we find out what we can do for the hall of fame display, we have recieved no instruction

without instruction I’d do this:

I’d think that booth is a way for the HOF teams to explain to the world two things. 1) how they arrived, the story of the team, 2) practices others can emulate to achieve their own success
