I nearly just made a big boo-boo so I thought it was worth a quick post.
If you are considering making a two-color trailer target for camera testing, you’ll notice that the cloth you have, and the Target instructions, only allow building a semi-circle target.
Not only that, but the “Team Drawings” for building the Trailer also only include a half target (facing backwards).
In looking at these drawings I incorrectly assumed that this was how things would be in the game.
However, if you look at the “Game Specific” drawings, you’ll see that the target is actually a full circle as shown in the game animation.
So… the lesson here is don’t assume the “Team Drawings” are fully accurate. They are only an economic way to replicate elements of the game.
The obvious consequence of the “Full Target” is that the largest target rectangle WILL be the closest one.
