2009 Dallas Regional

Does anyone have a copy of the “Site Info” for the Dallas Regional?

The FIRST website accidentally posted the DC Regional Site Info, so I can’t access the document with the information about the Dallas Regional.

Thanks

Nevermind, they reposted it

Let’s hear some noise, Dallas! Noise is louder in TEXAS!!!

Also to the Number one seed; 935 1158 2461. You guys were great and gave the champs a good run.

We’ll see what happens in the award ceremony(The finals just ended). Congrats everyone!

that was some crazy matches in the finals, as well as a rally suspenseful wait for the official score in match 2 of the finals. the announcer couldn’t keep count with 148’s scoring!

Who won the Rookie Inspiration award?

FRC 2947 -THSP & Harmony Science Academy High School - El Paso

I can tell you that 148 had an incredible time at this event. This was the first time I’ve ever had a “home” regional, and it was a GREAT experience. All the teams were extremely friendly. I met so many new people and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

I’d really like to thank everyone for making it special, especially all the veteran teams who went out of their way to help others.

See you next year!
-John

Could not have said it better myself. For an inaugural event, it sure ran like a well established regional.

If anyone is interested in match videos, my dad found this archive last night.

Great Regional to all teams and congrats especially to team 148. Everyone should be proud! I watched a webcast of the regional and it was fun to see some new teams but also some that I have recognized from past regionals.
The Best to all of you!

All,

I’ve tried a couple of different ways to find out which team the Dallas Regional Woodie Flowers Award recipient is with, Mr. John Gregory Allen. Can you help me out?

(If you check the awards section of the regional schedule and information, the teams aren’t listed with these deserving recipients, necessarily.)

Congratulations Mr. Allen!

He is with team 647 - The Cyber Wolves

647 - Cyberwolves from Killeen, TX.

Edit: Got beat by Robert.

John Gregory is a mentor on team 647.

Andy B.

Thanks Robert, John, and Andy! AWEsome!

The Cyber Wolves rock. I know some of their mentors but most definitely, not all. I’ll have to work on that. If they would just all converge in one place, it would be easier.

Edit: name correction

Apologies, I think somehow the name has gotten a little mixed up. I took my cue from Andy Baker’s post and talked with one of the mentors from Cyber Wolves, Mike Owens, to clarify. I do know Mr. Gregory and have known him for several years. I usually think of him as that crazy person who never stops talking and who does so many things for the team. He has been a rock, a cheerleader, a friend, and a strong role model for the team. I hope to see Mr. Gregory in Houston, it would be great!

Congrats to 1745 the P-51 Mustangs on winning the regional Chairman’s award. I’m not too familiar with the team’s Chairman’s-type activities, but this is a great bunch of folks. I’m dissapointed I won’t get to see them compete at Lone Star this year.
