Hmm, that 1868 robot looks oddly familiar…

1458 had an amazing time, we learned a lot about the game, then about our robot when a good hit from the side shattered our acrylic. We then ran home bought Lexan and replaced our side panels.

Don’t cheap out on important pieces.

Great day overall though

I must agree with all points you made. We too learned a LOT!
We figured out how to get our autonomous working. We now have a much better grasp on “Running” the code vs. “Deploying Start up” code. We also found our strengths and weaknesses with our robot. We can now use ALL of Monday productively.

As far as your lesson on acrylic, it’s a good lesson to learn in practice and not during competition. :o
Acrylic has it’s place, but it is not in a placed where an impact or stress can be applied to it.

FEMBOTS, you guys are looking great as always. We so have to team up at Davis, have a great build season and we’ll see you guys at the comps.

Daarn, ur right.

Are they mentored by them?

Darn you Andy, messin up my hopes of a supersickultimatecollaboaration. >.<

WOW< WOW> WOW

I called it first!(back at the 254 teaser):ahh: 1868 is based at the same place as 254, but I don’t think they are mentored by 254.

I’m glad you guys liked our robot! (hehe)

Fembots - you gals did a great job hosting the event!
Thanks everyone else for participating. As you saw, we are uber-excited our robot is up and running!

just adding in our .02 - thanks SO MUCH to the Fembots for hosting saturday. We got SO MUCH fixed - programming, gearboxes, and some really awesome mods for weight and safety inspection. Rookie Team 3013 really appreciated all the help it got from all the teams (adults and kids) there!

295 wishes we were there but were not due to a robot malfunction friday night.

1678 owes so much to the Fembots this year. We were lucky enough to finish our robot a week and a half ago, and we’ve been to the Fembot’s shop on 4 separate occasions to practice on their regolith. Our drive team is even there today, getting as much practice as possible. The Fembots have been more than willing to let us come over and use their practice field, and 1678 is very thankful for their generosity. Thanks Fembots!

looks like people are finally starting to finish after febuary 10th from all the show cases i’ve seen this competition has alot of people

The 254 mentors work primarily with 254, but assist 1868 as well.

701 is really bummed to miss the Fembot Scrimmage, our students really enjoy it and look forward to it each year. Luckily we did get our robot working Sunday night and on Monday. See you gals at Davis!!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone! We’re glad that people had fun and were able to identify and fix problems. We are happy to help in any way we can, and hosting practice day is always fun for us! (and you’re welcome, 1678 - it was fun to have you guys over!)

To those teams that weren’t able to make it (295, 701, and a few others) we did miss you, and I hope things worked out ok for you!

Can’t wait to see everyone at competition!!

I stopped by on monday, and saw you guys in the cafeteria as well as engen, and another team (it was all fans I did not catch thier team number.) Thanks again for giving us your KOP belt sprockets, I look forward to seeing you guys in davis sorry we could not make saturday.

Funny that you got 4 pictures of our OI but none of our robot :frowning: . I would have been nice to have a DSLR pic not just cell phones.

it was all fans I did not catch thier team number.

That was probably Hiram Johnson

No, actually it was Rosemont, rookie team 2892.
