2011 Logomotion Team Pics and Videos

So I know there’s a place for threads about team’s robots and all, but I thought it would be easier to have a single dedicated thread where teams can post A) a picture of their robot, B) The basic specs on their robot, and C) A video of their robot performing. That way this thread can be scouts one stop shop for finding out what different teams are like.

I guess this thread won’t be necessary if the Cheesy Scout site takes off, but I thought this would be easier then blue alliance because it seems like half of the teams on BL never have a picture up. So if you’ve already posted pics, videos, etc on Delphi, repost it here so we can get a collection!

Well, I guess I will lead this off!

Shoulder powered by two RS-550 running into a CIM-U-LATOR running into a 3 stage GEM gearbox

Wrist is powered by a RS - 775 running into a P-60 64:1 Gearbox

Hand is powered by a window motor as well as Minibot Deployment

8" Mecanum Drive Powered by 4 CIM motors with 4 ToughBox Nano

Final Weight Before Shipping 118.2 lbs. (I Know Scary!)

Reaches all positions

Time to hang three tubes on top row from ground pickup 35 seconds

Time to deploy Minibot (best run) 2.7 seconds

Time for Minibot to climb 3.6 seconds

Minibot is super super reliable

Great autonomous code hangs on top row, every time, from any position!

Minibot has custom code that gets it to ram the top multiple times to insure a good trigger

Congratulations on completeing all the objectives for this year’s game reliably. Your way for ground pick-up looks like its fairly reliable.

Is this thread only for posting or are discussions allowed?

A) The glorious robot!

B) Robot specs:

Mostly-steel frame.

6" mecanum wheels driven by 4 Toughboxes.

Three-stage elevator driven by a threaded rod, powered by two 550s in a CIMulator.

Forearm and gripper actuated by a denso each.

Can pick up tubes from anywhere.

Can hang tubes at any height.

Reliable minibot (not pictured) and deployment system; total time is approximately 3.7 seconds; returns from top of pole.

Autonomous code reliably hangs tubes on top row, can follow both types of lines.

Camera for visual aid and minibot aiming.

Final Weight: 119.2 pounds. (even closer!)

C) …alas, we didn’t get a video of the thing driving around. Sorry!

I guess I’ll do the honors for my team:

Robot Features:

Scores ubertube on second level during autonomous (untested as of yet)

Tank drive treads driven from two supershifters (very fast+massive pushing power)

Dual bar elevator driven by two window motors, lifts from ground to second row in ~5 seconds

Floor pickup easilly with “spatula” style manipulator, powered by 1 Banebots RS550 for adjustability.

Minibot is 2.5 seconds by it’s self. Extremely reliable.

Deployment tray is .33 seconds, to fully deploy, plus it lines up the robot to the pole if it is within 30 degrees of straight on.

Camera and line tracking sensors for autoscoring during tele-op

Bottom frame made out of T-Slot, upper frame from 1/16 tubing

Extremly awesome side panels scare opponents with THE EYES

Video of the robot in action

See you at FLR (two days!) and Boston!
