The total scores for Week 16 STILL need to be modified, but I see that IndySam picked Baltimore instead of the Giants, so the net gain was 1 game last week.

I see a flaw in the pickem system, at least at the very end of the season: people know what others are picking. This permits pickem leaders to merely duplicate the picks of those chasing them, making it very difficult to catch up.

In the future, for the final 2-3 weeks (or all weeks), I ask you to make the submissions blind via PM, like Fantasy FIRST. Do this for at least anyone within 3 games of the lead. Then no one can react to anyone else. You can publish the picks after the fact.

So he’s going to wait until the last minute this week to post, so I cannot repeat the same strategy. But then, I may just switch up what I already posted regardless of what he may or may not post… :slight_smile:

Even with Cormier’s crying and Hoffman’s blatant cheating by changing picks after the 1:00 deadline, I still kicked their butts :slight_smile:

I didn’t change picks after the deadline. They were submitted on my computer at 12:59 PM, and none of the games had even kicked off. I don’t know why CD indicates the edits posted at 1:06 PM. Believe what you will, but graciously pound salt while doing it. :slight_smile:

Edit - I know why it shows 1:06 - I added the editorial commentary for select games after the fact.

PM-based submissions next year please, Ed. Or better for you and us, start a free Yahoo pickem league and let it run the show, automatic scoring and all. I believe the system keeps everyone’s picks blind until after gametime. I’d prefer it be that way all year.

It also helps keep CD free of chit-chat/games type clutter.
