2012 Colorado Regional!

Hey all!

I just wanted to post a few thank yous and all of that fun stuff! And provide a place where we can all chat about the Colorado Regional. It seems as though all of the other regionals have their own posts, and so the Colorado Regional should have one, too!

First off, thanks to all of the teams that attended the Colorado Regional! Team 2996 had a blast, and we hope that all of you did, too! We loved working with all of the teams, and we cannot wait until next year’s regional with all of you! Thanks to all of the volunteers, judges, and referees that helped make the event run so smoothly! We appreciate all of the time that you spend at FIRST events to make them successful!

Congrats to Team 932 on the Chairman’s Award! You guys really deserve it! And congrats to Team 1764 on Engineering Inspiration! I loved learning about the Massive Mini from you in GKC…hopefully we could get one started here in Colorado! And congrats to Team 4293 on the Rookie Inspiration Award! Your team has a lot going, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you all!

Thank you to teams 399 and 3807 for making a great alliance! We loved working with your teams! Also, thanks to teams 159, 1158, and 4387! We enjoyed playing against your alliance. Your teams made a great alliance, and the finals were really close!

Again, thanks to all of the FIRST teams that participated in the awesome regional. You are all wonderful and fabulous!

P.S. Does anyone know where one can find the videos of all of the matches? I know they were streamed live, but were they recorded as well? Thanks!

I wasn’t at the regional but I did watch the webcast. I was rooting for my friend Clark on 4068, you guys did great.

Also, I find it interesting how team 339 won the Colorado engineering excellence award despite the fact that they didn’t attend the regional. 399 is nice to have accepted it for them…

Great job 2996!! Your program has very quickly become one for all to emulate, and has already won just about every award!

I was looking for those as well. I do have one link to your 4 ball autonomous–although you should take motion sickness pills prior to watching.

Great job 2996! I was the driver for this year’s robot, hope I wasn’t too hard on you guys :P. It was a great final, probably the most exciting one in a long time for Colorado.

Thanks Marc.

And yes, we caught that too. We got a few chuckles out of it

Thank you, 2996. Rookie year was a challenge but I think we conquered it well. I will also pass on your words to the rest of the team.

And congratulations to you as well. It is always nice seeing teams who I hope my team can emulate in the future.

I informed FIRST of the typo. Hopefully it will be changed

I would like to say you did a great job driving. It was a great challenge going up against you. Thank you for the great matches.

Thank you very much. the other driver and I appreciate your compliment.
