most recent edit: new 2791 pic linked.

I will be there with Team 229! Can’t wait!

I booked my tickets to Albany for that week. CT will be my only Regional this year. This year looks more stacked than ever.

I’m pumped.

Here is an up to date picture of 2791. I’ve been told the tilting hood was removed.

64 teams! I’m so looking forward to it. I hope I can help all teams & ensure they all have a good competition.

This year promises to be a blast for all the teams. I can’t wait to show off our amazing shooter. I hope that everyone has a blast up to, through, and after the event!

This event is the focus of our season. Excited and concerned to see the Robonauts in our little state. But hey, “little” in surface area only, right?

Wow, thanks Sean for gathering most of the team’s robots. This will help with scouting. The picture you have of our(Paragon) robot is actually our 2006 robot from Aim High. Our recent robot is on http://www.cowscout.com/index.php?page=viewTeamNumber&code=CT&year=2012&teamNumber=571 .

So excited for Hartford!

And surprise surprise, Athena’s Warriors will be a part of the competition this year. It helps now that we got the differences between wrenches and pliers together…JUST KIDDING. We also got a mentor from Michigan so everyone knows what that means

Everyone look for purple. We have limited edition buttons with our Robot namesake Rosie the Riveter this year that we will be giving out to teams (one a piece).

Looking forward to see you all!

Hi teams - remember that the deadline for your team to sign up for the team social is coming up in two days (Monday, March 19). More information on the team social is below:

Additionally, you have two more days to ask about the alumni luncheon and sign up to volunteer at the event giving VIP tours or at the team social - the deadline is also Monday, March 19:

Hey Ellen, are you able to check if I’ve registered for the luncheon yet? I don’t remember doing so, but I can’t seem to find any information about it.

Team 3467 is extremely excited to be attending our first CT regional! Anyone else staying at the Marriot and know of some good, quick food places extremely close to the venue?

Attached is a photo of our robot The Panzer! See everyone in a week!

Welcome to CT! I promise it’ll be one of your best regional experiences!

As for food, there is a restaurant attached to the Marriot, but not a whole lot less than 2 blocks away, except a couple bars.

List of restaurants near the Hartford Marriott

Oddly enough, even though I live pretty close to Hartford, I can’t say I’m all that familiar with the dining scene. I’ve heard good things about Black Eyed Sally’s, but I’m not sure if that fits into a regional schedule well.

…wow, I feel awful that I can’t name a restaurant that fits your description. I guess that’s what I get for being spoiled with good food closer to home.

I know the feeling, I’m the same way… I know the bar scene mostly from friends visiting them all the time(never actually been downtown for drinking or anything), but I can’t say much at all about the dining scene.
