It’s just a few days away, who’s ready for the new regional at Spokane, WA? Team 701 just sent off it’s trailer and is flying up on Wed for this “cool” new regional. Washington has seen tremendous growth in teams these past few years and were are super excited to check them out.
Team 1983 Skunkworks Robotics is super excited for this awesome new regional!! Good luck to all teams and we will see you there!
3574 High Tekerz is looking forward to competing against all the amazing teams planning to come!
1899 Saints Robotics will be there! See you Thursday, and good luck! =D
Keeping my fingers crossed for 1983.
294 coming up for the first time. I don’t recognize any of the numbers (In a different state? Who would have thunk?). Who’s the local powerhouses to watch out for? Also, what’s the story on all these teams in the area? From the map on the website, it seems like the area is very unusually dense with teams, similar to LA and Michigan, is there a reason for that?
The local powerhouse to look for is 1983, who were finalists in both portland and seattle but lost to the triple balance both times.
As for the amount of teams, I believe the state sponsors alot of teams, and strives to create new teams. The amount of rookies in the state have EXPLODED in the past few years.
This looks to be a good regional to watch. I wish luck to all teams, but especially past alliance partners and friends on 294, and 2122.

Well our crate is at the university loading dock and our shooter is boxed up and ready to hop on the plane. We look forward to meeting you all. It has been a while since our team has done a travel regional and we are super excited. Though the snow forecast is not as awesome as we were hoping for!
See you all on Thursday!
I have this little model of a bridge with 3 little robots on it and this big box of pins and …
Wishing success to 1983 also;)
Good luck to 3968 Higher Voltage as well
Congrats Skunkworks! That tele-op shooting looks great!
-Team 1540, the Flaming Chickens
The Skunks are in need of a bigger trophy case.
Congratulations on the RCA! A 2nd Blue Banner to go with the win (congrats to the Tator-Skunk-Bulldogs? alliance).
And another Best Website (3 for 3 this year!).
But wait, there’s a FIRST Dean’s List Finalist too!
Well done, Skunks!
Thank you so much, I followed the Oklahoma regional and was excited at the end of it when you not only won the regional, but chairman’s as well. We’ve both had great seasons and It will be exciting for both of us to compete at St. Louis representing the West Coast!
Thanks PaW,
Your Chairman’s win last year and your continual website perfection acted as a stimulant for the team, it was clear we needed to step up our game if we wanted to perform in those categories at 1899’s level.
Indeed congrats to Skunkworks on a job well done and on setting a high bar to measure to. Your organization is enviable and inspires and encourages others to excell as you have. Kudos.
Team Tator as well - way to go Idaho!
Congratulations on the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award, Salvatore!
Team 4061 SciBorgs would like to thank teams 948 and 3574 in joining our alliance. We where very close to our planed triple balance the excitement of our first competition has left me exhausted and speachless. To all the Regional winner thanks for deeds and thanks for all your help. FIRST FRC is a great experiance. Special thanks to 2016 for all their help.
Team NRG 948 would like to thank teams 3574 and 4061 in turn for being such great partners. We were so close to the triple balance… great alliance!
Congrats to the winning alliance(1983 and 4082) for their excellent performance. Skunkworks tele-op shooting really amazes all.
It was a lot of fun to play in Cheney this year. The Tators really enjoyed the positive and friendly atmosphere that the event staff and volunteers created for the teams and were very glad to be a part of it. It was great to see all of the folks who traveled to make it such a warm and smooth running event.
We would like to thank our alliance partners 1983 and 4082 for their steady and solid execution of our alliance’s strategy. It was extremely rewarding to see the execution come together in the 3rd game of the semi-finals and then to build on it in the finals. The calm demeanor of the Skunks and the Bulldogs through the adversity definitely calmed this Tator’s nerves:)
We would also like to thank all the other teams who fought so hard and with such grace - especially our friends the Robodevils, and the Pigmice. We fulfilled a long term desire to play with the Skunkworks crew this year, and hope that we get a chance to play a lot more with you guys in the future.
Thank you to everyone at the Spokane regional event. Our team had a fantastic time there and made many new friends that we hope to see again!
The event staff was very friendly and helpful and I don’t think anyone attending would have ever known that it was a rookie regional. It went very smoothly and the venue was wonderful. It was really nice for so many teams to be able to bring their own food in and eat it there without the hassles of many other commercial venues…
Our congratulations to all of the teams there for making it an exciting regional. We loved playing with each and every one of you!! You all really made us feel at home.
Our special thanks go to teams 2122 and 4082 for being such tremendous elimination partners. We have always hoped to play with 2122 and we weren’t disappointed. Your “secret weapons” were brilliant and they way the Bump Box played out (with 4082 helping out) in the finals was amazing. It was so neat to see those 4 balls going in… the way all six of our hybrid shots went in was pure ballet.
Congrats to 4601, 948, 3574… you guys really had us scared in the quarters when you came so close to getting the triple!!
2907, 2522, 2928 … it can’t get any closer than going to a third match in semi-finals!!
and 3663, 3219, 3968… it was tough stopping your scoring machine in the finals… you were great finalists!!!
I want to thank all the parents, mentors, and friends that made the trip over to Spokane really special for the team. Your support is what allows us to do our best on and off the field.
Tators we certainly hope to be playing with you in St. Louis. You were the rock of our alliance and off the field you are great friends and fun to work around. Bulldogs… thanks for helping us out and we will be in contact about getting you to St. Louis…
Again, thank you everyone…you made it a special weekend for us…
