2013 Championship Prop Bets

For the past few years before the Super Bowl, my brother and I identify about 15-21 even money prop bets. We then take turns picking the outcome of each bet (while the other takes the opposite bet), and the winner is the one with the most correct outcomes.

Just for fun (or year long bragging rights), I’m going to post a bunch of true / false statements. Feel free to answer each one, we’ll see who does the best. I’ll “lock” the betting on Wednesday after load in, before match schedules are released.

If you have a suggestion for a bet, also post it. Please try to keep the outcome about even odds, and verifiable through posted numbers after the event.

I’d like to encourage everyone to guess the tiebreakers, as I’m curious to what people think and I’d don’t want to break a tie based on no response.

I’ve seen three people (myself included) who have just used their team number for the second tiebraker :stuck_out_tongue:

Means you don’t have very high hopes for your team winning Einstein :stuck_out_tongue: .

Highly doubt we’ll have to use the second tiebreaker though.

Just a reminder to get your bets in, betting closes Wednesday after load in.

If you plan on loading in on Wednesday, you might have trouble trying to procrastinate. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bets are now locked, good luck everyone.

In response to below, yes, bets are locked because of the preliminary match schedule. I posted Wednesday because I didn’t expect them to release any sort of match schedule, but since this preliminary match schedule has a good chance of being the actual match schedule, bets are locked. I wanted people to make bets before they saw which alliances were formed to make guessing outcomes more difficult.

You can still post your bets, and if they end up changing the schedule I’ll take them. As things are right now, betting is closed.

I’ve already copied the bets to a spreadsheet, also if there is any editing of bets you can see when the post is edited.

Why are bets locked? It isn’t Wednesday yet. Is it because of preliminary schedules?

Why don’t we have until Wednesday? The match schedule is still preliminary, and those who already submitted still have the chance to change their answers.

Just discovered this now, want to extend the deadline to Wednesday?
