2013 Dream Matchup

Wait, are you a psychic? How did you know??

Neither 1477 nor 118 have shown FCS in a real match.

I meant 148 and 4334. I should have distinguished that I meant FCS’s on separate alliances not together.

That my friend would be oh so sweet. Maybe we can divide the US into US West, US East, US North and US South, just because they have so many awesome teams!

1114 469 1310 v 254 987 610

Two thirty point climbers. Four full court shooters. Two ground pickups per alliance. 15 disc autonomous on both sides potentially. 50 pyramid points each.

Would 1114’s red disc advantage (effectively 8 net points) make the difference?

1477 actually showed it on Galileo in a qualification match.

Nor Cal versus So Cal

Nor Cal 254-971-1678 versus So Cal 1538-3476-2485

Bonus: Central California: 1717-973-1662

A round robin would be “hella” awesome.

This would be incredible. A California State Championship can’t come soon enough.

I think SoCal would have the edge with 2485’s awesome FCS, plus two effective ground pick ups. All three alliances have 15 disc auto potential. None of the Nor Cal bots directly human load, which could affect cycle times for the entire alliance.

Hella awesome indeed.

This just makes me want CA to switch to districts even more.
That norcal alliance has a bit of a disadvantage due to all the robots being exclusively ground pick up, that central CA alliance would be a hella good team though, all of those robots wold work really well together.

I don’t know about dream match, but here’s my dream Einstein:

Texas vs. Canada, Michigan vs. California

1477-148-118 vs. 1114-610-1241 , 33-217-67 vs. 3476-207-254

The winners would probably be Texas and Michigan, which would provide an awesome final.

Shout out to 1477. U guys beat us first round @ Bayou. Proud of y’all!!

I’d switch 217 for 469… And 610 for 2056…

6 robots that can’t do anything but one point dump, that’d be entertaining as heck.
Or 6 30 point climbers.

And 1241 for 1310.

973 is probably the best cycler is California. I think 3476-973-254 would be a better alliance.

I don’t think you can really say that unless you’ve seen 1662, IMO the best robot that didn’t make champs. 1717 is also up there with 973.

Honestly both were very good. I heard 973 got 9 cycles in one match and had a pretty good 7 streak. 973 completely outshone 1717 at LA, and in pure cycling ability was better even with their taller robot without swerve.

973 was fantastic, and a few bad matches at championships meant they were somehow still available to pick 2nd round! Fantastic and FAST robot.
If we weren’t against that powerful #3 alliance (Appreciate Cheesy MORT), then who knows how well we could have done.

I’d love to see them and 868 go head-to-head in teleop undefended- just cycling. See who scores more.

The kids are making some new robots for the offseason that are sub 30".

I’m very excited to see what our driver can do with it, as our robot this year was awful to drive, and being tall limited his lane options.

You have no idea how excited I am to this new bot, you guys better be going to cal games:D

Don’t get too excited, they’ll likely be plywood simpletons like the two we fielded last year.

It’s very unlikely we’ll be at Calgames, more likely the Sacramento event, San Diego and Madera.
