2014 Game balls

Team 195 is looking for some of the old game ball covers and inflatable inserts so if you have any just reach out to me here please. Even if you don’t have the inner inflatable liners but know where I can get them I would appreciate it. We still use that robot for community outreach, it looks great on a parade float shooting the balls in the air. Thanks in advance for any help.

AndyMark currently has 30,476 of these Game Balls in stock; they’d love to send you 2014 of them for 50¢ each.

Oh, inflatable… I guess you mean the year 2014. :man_shrugging:

Try to contact Sportogo, the manufacturer of the 2014 balls (https://sportogo.com/). They might have some (or equivalent) in stock.

If you don’t care too much about accuracy, we found that replacing the bladder with a medicine ball of equivalent size made for a far more durable ball for demonstrations. If you have any workable covers but with popped bladders, this may be the way to go.

Do you mean medicine ball or yoga ball? I shudder to think how heavy a medicine ball of that size would be, especially when thrown around as a demo.

r = 2.5in
V = (4/3) * pi * (2.5)^3 = 65.45 in^3
V * 30476 = 1990000 in^3 = 32.69 m^3
Assume ~64% packing efficiency for randomly assorted spheres
32.69 / .64 = 51.1 m^3
51.1^(1/3) = 3.7m
That is a cube of balls measuring more than 12 feet on each edge.

At IRI in 2018, there was a fairly large box with a bunch of those fuel balls in it and they were running a contest to guess the number. Looks like you would have won that contest…
