I think that throwing the Game Manual into the recycling bin represents throwing out the rules. Every 30+/- minutes the rules will change, but not always the same order each match.
It makes so much sense now. I guess now we gotta make masks for the drive team.
YES I have been waiting for this game for my whole life.
This just made my night.
Scoring would be rough though.
The refs don’t get enough grief already.
Wow, this is hilarious. Calvin and Hobbes is the best.
The refs could barely enforce the rules of last years game.
Haha i remember reading Calvin and Hobbes when i was smaller, the refs would hate this game!
Lol Calvin this is your game! Too funny sir! See you kickoff!
The refs won’t be enforcing the rules this year. They’ll be too busy playing “Mao”.
did I just hear you volunteer to be a ref this year?
If there’s ever a game I hated…
I think he did–and yet, he has a point. Game: difficult to ref at original staffing levels. Staffing levels: doubled by end of season, making it easier…if refs could be found.
Yep, I think he definitely did just volunteer to ref this year.
The problem isn’t the referees, it’s the rules. Saying that the refs could barely enforce the rules isn’t indicating that the refs weren’t as good as they should have been.
I agree that we shouldn’t attack referees and volunteers, but I don’t agree we should just ignore the problem- for many, last year’s rules resulted in disappointment, confusion, and anger.
Haha, yes sir! Having been named after the comic, I am quite enjoying the concept. See you Saturday!
bad joke about how the rules seemed to change every 30 minutes last year
chuckles at self-satisfaction
sees self out
No we wouldn’t - we could make it up as we go! ::rtm::
(Oh wait, no manual to read)
In the comics, Calvin and Hobbes were the referees themselves. Thus I think there will no longer be any refs, with all of the ruling falling to the teams to decide (or disagree) on.
