2016 Michigan Teams Registration

I will be retiring and leaving Michigan the end of October so I will no longer be on FRC Team 2834. Here is my parting gift to all Michigan Teams. Happy Registering!

Event code for Woodhaven changed from mifla to mibro. Please download new file or change cell W23 in sheet “Teams List for Events” to mibro.

If you are retiring, does that mean you won’t be making your scouting databases anymore? I’ll be lost without your databases. haha. But seriously, thanks for this file and thanks for all your databases I used all of the 2015 season.

I think this was addressed in another post some time ago. Team 2834 mentors will continue to publish the scouting database. I already gave them all my spreadsheets and macros. I will still be available to help them through Skype if they need help.

I am moving to California and will still be involved in FIRST Robotics one way or another, probably volunteering at regional events to get to know the teams.

It was brought to my attention that there is a small error in the spreadsheet.

In sheet “Teams List for Events”, cell S3 should say “=SUM(A3:R3)” and cell S4 should say “=SUM(A4:R4)”.

Thanks Scott.

There is a new event that will be in Week 2. Since it is quite a bit of work to change the spreadsheet to add an event, I have updated it which will be v3. Please download it again.

After updating to v3, I noticed that the Woodhaven column no longer updates. It’s not a huge fix, so if you’d like to fix it yourself just do these three steps:

  1. Press ALT + F11 to open up the visual basic editor
  2. On the 15th line, change the 18 to a 19 so that it reads: For i = 1 To 19
  3. Save and close the window

The woodhaven column should now update with the rest when you press the Update button.

Thanks again to Ed for providing this great tool for all Michigan teams.

Awesome job on the spreadsheet!

Sorry for the careless mistake. I was on the phone with someone discussing which event to register while I updated the spreadsheet. I normally would count the number of rows of events and not put a hard number for a loop like that. I’m traveling to Houston right now. I will update it tonight when I get to the hotel, or you can edit the macro as suggested.

There has been some changes to the Michigan district events. Since I need to get an updated list of all Michigan teams registered, I have to update the spreadsheet. For those folks who do not know how to update the spreadsheet due to the changes, I am posting the latest for them. It is now version 5.

Michigan added two more district events. I updated the spreadsheet again. It is now version 6.
