2017 Buckeye Regional

Special shout out to 2399 for a great performance! Cool to see alumni from my former teams doing so well mentoring this team  Keep it up!

We had a great time at the Buckeye Regional even though we didn’t get that elusive blue banner. Congrats to 3015, 340 and 156 for the win!

Thanks to 379 for joining us. You were rock-solid reliable and, as always, a pleasure to work with. We’re so glad you punched your ticket to Champs, we’ll see you in St. Louis!

And to 2399: y’all are the absolute best kind of crazy. Next time I’m feeling down and need to smile, I’m going to go back and watch video of you harassing 5413 in the semifinals. Legendary defensive work.

Finally, I want to give a huge shout-out to the LRI and all the robot inspectors. I feel like they really walked the talk of ensuring fairness and ensuring everyone got out onto the field to play, all with a really positive and friendly attitude. It makes a huge difference to the event experience and is greatly appreciated.

I cannot begin to thank you enough for what you did for us in Eliminations. Calling a timeout to allow us time to work on our robot was the greatest thing any team can do for another. I know I thanked you personally right after the match but I wanted to let the rest of the FIRST community know what you did for us. It would have been fun to team up with you with both of our robots at full strength. I’m sure we could have put up 4 rotors in every match.

You have an amazing team and should be proud of what you did.
Thank you again.

I would also like to thank 3015 for selecting us for elims. It was great to finally get to play on the same alliance as you. The combination of 3015, 340, and 156 made a difficult pairing for anyone. Your shooting, our gear running & 156 playing some of the best defense in the tournament was too much.

While I’m at it, 3015 is having a year to remember, 3 blue banners and the world championships still to come. Congrats on the CA, IE, + 2 wins. Something special going on in my hometown. I’m just glad to see all of your hard work pay off.

You guys played incredibly. We tried our best to put up a fight in the quarters but fell short in the last 30 seconds of the match. It was really an honor to be able to play hard against one of the strongest alliances at the competition. It’s a real bummer you guys aren’t coming to worlds, your team and especially your drive team impressed me a lot.
