Does anyone know how FIRST will handle Hall of Fame induction? I feel as if having two winners a year takes away from the magic of the award.
Have they announced their approach to this?

I think all FIRST has said on the subject is that there will be a Chairman’s winner at each Championship, and both will enter the HoF.
In my opinion, the number of completely deserving teams are rising every year faster than those that are being inducted into the HOF. There may be a time where the quality of winners diminishes but we are nowhere near that time. Both new inductees will have been every bit as deserving as all the current members in my opinion.
I agree that many teams are deserving - but there is something magical about being the one team that was able to take the honour. I’m sure there are a couple players in the NBA that deserve the MVP, but giving it to one player adds to the weight of the award.
The bar for the HOF is raised every year. Even with 2 winners the bar is still at the same place it was at just a few years ago. Not a single hof team did what they did to earn an award and not a single will feel any less special being inducted into the most prestigious and most exclusive group in Frc.
Although I agree that there is something special about being the “one”, I take a stance that teams who consistently show chairman’s team qualities and go above and beyond should be recognized as HOF teams. I don’t think this can be related to being the MVP of the NBA or on the contrary having two winning alliances this year, for it is an award based on team characteristics and impact, not performance. I’m positive that both winnng teams at both champs will be equally deserving of the award, for as was said before, teams consistently set a higher standard for themselves, and strive to raise that bar even higher.
Along with the two winning alliances, there will also be two HoF teams. I’m pretty sure the “Festival of Champions” was made in hopes of honoring winners in a more exclusive way, and ultimately give them that “MVP” status. It’s still a bit unclear how they’ll be recognized - all we know so far is that they’ll have “important roles and places of honor during the playoff event.”
While that is true, in Major League Baseball, they have the American League and National League MVP awards, and winning those are still considered a great honor, despite there being two of them.
