With only a few days until FLR 2017, I figured it’s time for a thread about it. I would also like to call attention to the fact that basically all of upstate NY, including Rochester, has a Winter Storm Warning in effect from Monday night to Wednesday night, and this will likely have an impact on travel and load-in. Please travel safely, and good luck at the competition!

I want to echo what Brian said, a storm is moving in. If it’s as bad as they are saying (12+") schools may be closed Tuesday or Wednesday. Plan accordingly.
I hope everyone makes it safe and sound and we have an awesome weekend.
Il be watching and im bringing my fiancé whos never been to an FRC event… So stoked. Its my birthday weekend so im hoping my team will take the W but there are so many great teams its gonna be a real grinder!
Probably one of the deepest fields out of all regionals this year… With respect to michigan (which technically is a district system instead)
Il be roaming the pits scoping out all the great competition.
Excited to see if 340 can be brought down, as they are the projected favorite based on the reveal
Snow is real nasty-most if not all of the county didn’t have school today (Tuesday) and won’t have it tomorrow (Wednesday). Be careful out there and good luck to everyone at competition!
In case anyone is not aware: load is cancelled for tonight and the field stuck in a trailer in Erie, Pennsylvania being held up by a travel ban. Most likely it’ll be getting in late.
The weather here has calmed down quite a bit and the roads appear to be in decent shape. Looking like teams will have a reasonable commute in the morning. Can’t wait!
Thank goodness! I was worried about traveling. Good to hear that teams won’t have too tough of a time getting there. Hope we can get the field set up in time to stay on schedule!
Last night the first field arrive at the Gordon field house at 7:30. Fifty volunteers showed up led by Kate Pilotte and Jeff Downs and in five and a half hours managed to put the field together and have it mostly in working shape.
Outstanding!
Congrats to 1511 Rolling Thunder for the Chairman’s award, Jordan Sayegh on being a Dean’s List Finalist and Cynette Cavaliere for her win of the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award!!! The Thunder keeps getting LOUDER!!!
Way to go 191, 3015 and 3799 for the win. That shooter of 3015 is pretty awesome.
Congrats to 1507, 340 and 271 on the finals at the event. Those finals matches were pretty great!!
