2017 Houston Einstein Match Footage

No worries, 1676 will be recording our usual full-field footage of St. Louis Einstein as long as we’re given the room. But until then, here are FIRST’s recordings of Houston Einstein:

FIRST needs to create a 1 time award specifically for 1676 for filming so many matches, most of the time with better quality than FIRST provides.

Anyone else in favor of starting a travel fund for 1676 to come record Houston next year?

I, for one, enjoyed that FIRST’s own Einstein montage used some of 1676’s footage rather than their own in spots.

You guys are the best!

I could almost swear they just set the cameras to switch automatically every 2-3 seconds. The full field shot had so much dead space (background advertising) they could have almost included the other angles like they have done with their multi-angle stream they had at regionals during this season.

Hopefully they get someone who knows what the heck they are doing for Saint Louis and either goes with a setup of with the multi-cams, or does a split screen where they have the left side be red and the right side be blue which would at least help quite a bit. The other piece is that you now have applications like GameDay where you could push out a feed for each of the camera angles and allow users to pick which angles they want to watch.

Also, why couldn’t they do what they did the rest of this season with their beta webcasts and have one feed be a full field static view, and a second feed be the one that switches?!?

And they loved the inside-the-airship shot so much that they even switched to it once during an FTC match!
