Here are some specs for our robot:
-6 Wheel drivetrain geared for about 12ft per second
-Sidewinder Drive allows us to strafe while still having traction
-Parking brake which keeps us in place even with heavy defense
-Passive intake and active output for gears
-Active fuel intake that feeds into a 45-50 ball hopper
-Dumps about 45 balls into low goal in less than 7 seconds
-Climbs in less than 5 seconds
Quick question about this event. I’m thinking about possibly coming up there for a day. It’s a very very big maybe at this point. How is the parking around the event and how expensive is it? I was just wondering. Thanks!
Shouldn’t you be getting ready for something else? 
It’s usually around $10 and it’s located directly next to the venue.
5/52 teams that will attend MWR have already qualified for Champs, and CIR hasn’t even happen yet! This is going to be super competitive.
Does anyone know how the Champs spots get distributed if there are more than three previously qualified teams among the winners and finalists in a regional?
While winning MWR remains our ultimate goal, if we got one of those invites as a Finalist or whatever comes next, I’d be pumped.
They are no longer given out if all three of the finalists have received one or have already qualified(T20)
Wild Card slots are distributed to the Finalist ALLIANCE, in the order of team selection per Section 10.5.1 ALLIANCE Selection Process, until either all Wild Card slots generated at that event are distributed or the Finalist ALLIANCE is out of teams, whichever comes first.
Every regional is getting a bonus wildcard this season, so the Finalist Captain is guaranteed a champs bid. If any of the winners or the finalist captain is prequalified or wins EI or Chairmans at MWR, the finalist’s first pick gets a wildcard. If there are two prequalified teams, the finalist’s second pick gets a wildcard. If there are three (or more), and the finalist called in a backup bot, the backup gets a wildcard. Once the whole finalist alliance has tickets to champs, any additional wildcards go unused.
We got to go through this sequence last week. Once we made the finals, we knew we were guaranteed a Champs slot. Then EI happened, and the automatic regional wildcard was passed down to 1288, our first pick. Then Chairmans went to a team on the winning alliance, and 34 got a freshly generated wildcard as our second pick. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a third wildcard for 648, who we had called in as backup in F2.

We decided to not go because of money. As much as we wanted to go play in Chicago, we wanted to save our resources towards our district play this year. This was also the week before State and we used that time to prototype new designs for State. I’m choosing to stay mysterious for now, but everyone will see all that we did in our unbag time tomorrow evening ::rtm::
