It’ll be great to have 1658 at the state event. Loved playing together in 2015, and have been following this team ever since. Robot looks stellar. Can’t wait to see it in person.

It was a great day for Missouri Champs. Weather was beautiful, venue was nice, host teams were fantastic. I was happy to see everyone having fun together. This is the best program out there for students to learn things they will use in the coming years. I am proud of all the teams, but was happy to see Lee’s Summit North win and play so well.
Thanks to all the teams and volunteers who participated in the 2017 MO State Champs event at Liberty High School in Wentzville this past weekend! The list of people who made this event such a success and who deserve our sincere thanks is very long, and reflects the power of teamwork that is so foundational in the FIRST community.

Co-Chairs 2017 MO State Robotics Championship
Wanted to publicly thank 4329 and 1706 for hosting the event. You pulled this together very quickly, and knocked it out of the park. Really enjoyed the spacious pits, great volunteers, well priced concessions, and the competitive game play.
Missouri has a deep talent pool, and this championship featured a host of teams who had fantastic seasons. Thank you Broncobots, FRC 1987, for inviting us to join the #1 alliance. Your quick gear running, great floor pick-up, rock solid autonomous, and zippy climb made us thankful for the chance to play with you rather than against. Pleased that the partnership was fruitful, and will enjoy seeing your name permanently etched on the state trophy.
There were only 24 teams invited to the event, meaning the #1 captain would be without choice for their last alliance mate. The serpentine left us the St. Louis rookie inspiration winner, Mehville Pi, FRC 6744. This team was great to work with in the lunch time prep period, making several mechanical improvements to the gear placing and climbing mechanisms. Their contributions in the quarterfinals helped us reach the 4 rotors with significant time to spare and set a benchmark score that the rest of the field would have to defend against. Rookies, and already state champions. Congrats on a great beginning. Looking forward to what this team produces next.
The event organizers did invite 2 exhibition teams to the event to serve as back-up robots. Tech Titans, FRC 4600, had a very clean electrical system, and with great confidence the #1 alliance called on their services to play in the final matches. Thank you for helping us complete the championship run. Your climb in the final match was great insurance against an opponent that we have great respect for.
Awards at the championship event were voted on by the competing teams. Team Titanium, FRC 1986, was honored to receive the Missouri Robot of the Year award from their peers. We continue to discover great ideas and learn much from our fellow Missouri teams. Thank you all for being part of a great community of robot and engineering enthusiasts.
The Missouri State Championship was a great event. We thank the event organizers and host teams 1706 Ratchet Rockers and 4329 Lutheran Roboteers. The event was well run and the venue was very well laid out.
We thank our Alliance Partners 1986 Team Titanium and 6744 Mehville Pi. What a fantastic run we had. Obtaining our first 500+ score was definitely one of the highlights.
1986 Team Titanium, your world class shooter and solid gear running made the choice about who to align with very easy. We greatly appreciate all the insights that you have provided our team these past few years in order to help increase our level of competitiveness.
6744 Mehville Pi was great to work with. It is fantastic watching rookies perform to such a high level of play. We look forward to seeing your progression through the years.
We would also like to thank Team 4600 Tech Titans for being ready to jump in at the last minute for the finals. Your play helped us overcome the very strong number 2 alliance.
Around this time last year, Missouri state rankings were initially posted. Will the same happen soon for the 2018 season? With Week 5 in the books, most rankings should be finalized (except for teams attending Seven Rivers and Midwest in Week 6).
This is by no means official and all of my work can be double or triple checked, but as of the end of week 5 these are the standings based upon the same point system as previous years:
Obviously, this is only the top 24 who would be initially invited, but if teams decline then lower ranked teams would be invited. Teams with a * have yet to play their second event and are calculated as of they only have one. I have the scores for every team in Missouri that has competed, so if anyone wants the current rankings I would be more than happy to provide that. I also have not applied any tiebreaker at the moment, so teams with the same amount of points may shift around. I’m extremely excited to see the high level of performance all of the Missouri teams have been putting out, this year’s state championship is going to be intense!
