Kauai Labs is traveling w/the Kauaibots (FRC Team #2465) from the Garden Island of Kauai in Hawaii to attend the San Diego regional this week. The entire team is very excited!
If you have any questions about navX-MXP or navX-Micro - or just want to stop by and say hello - please visit team 2465’s pit area.
We are looking forward to it too. Actually will be our practice round since we as a team decided to take the 6 week plan to finish it. Hope it all works. Some of you will follow us to Ventura so excited about that one as well, we have quite a contingent going there in week 3 back to back. Going to be interesting this season, good luck everyone. Great to see a list of some of our favorite teams together in SD. Hope the field stuff has been worked out from week 1 and we have a good field. Thanks and good luck to the all the support personnel in San Diego.
Best of luck to the newest San Marcos team 6695 “Alpha Knights” from San Marcos HS, be sure to welcome them in along with all the other rookies, we we all rookies once. I think this is a perfect game season for rookies to surprise, its anyone’s game!
Team 4 is very excited to compete at San Diego for the first time! Having come down to Battle at the Border a few times, we know it’s gonna be full of competitive, awesome teams.
Correction: Team 5818 did not get a successful two gear auto in Q69. However, we did achieve the world’s first (I think) two gear auto in quarterfinals. Video available here.
I’ve told my students and fellow mentors this about a dozen or so times this weekend - this is THE BEST venue for a regional. Hands down. The open air venue meant the pits were well ventilated stayed a cool 60-70 during the day. Food vendors, while a tad pricey, were fantastic as well. We are definitely looking to return in the future.
Congrats to everyone who competed. It was fun to finally see STEAMworks play out in person.
…
Looking Forward was correct about us. Lots of lessons learned going into Sacramento.
Congratulation to everyone else too what a great list of teams with awards, we had an awesome time. Good luck at Championships teams that earned their way to Houston Champs .

1538 didn’t win anything qualifying them for Champs at this event. Therefore, no wild card was generated by 1538.
In order for a wild card to be generated, a team that is already qualified has to qualify again at that particular event (other than this year’s Finalist AC wild card, which is declared by FIRST).
Agreed. Not having a bunch of sweaty teenagers in the pits was a nice change.
Great venue, wish we had time for more matches, but that’s CA big regionals and this game taking forever to reset.
