1218 is very excited to be playing with a great group of teams, this one looks fun.

Does anyone know of any 3 or 4 cube scale autos in this division? 1114 has a 3 cube scale?

We’re looking forward to playing! Can’t wait, yay!

6329 is excited so compete with a whole new crew this year. Looking forward to working in such a great division!

612 is excited to compete with you all. Go Archimedes!

Man, this is going to be a super strong division. 4096 is looking forward to playing with you all!

Might have to go wait and find out. Several robots have the mechanical capability for 2+ cubes, and are still working on the sensing and/or software.

1325 has one and ran one at Ontario District Champs.

Heres a video:

I’m excited, though I’ll be watching on webcast. Here’s hoping the schedule is favorable

Here is the preliminary schedule!

5724 is super excited for their first appearance at worlds. Can’t wait to see everyone there.

Wouldn’t be an event if 5407 and 1218 weren’t on an alliance together.

Ah too true, we’re excited to play with you guys and happy you were able to make it to worlds.

Little insight for the crowd - one of the mentors that started 1218 just recently left to go start 5407 and we have remained close over the last 3 years.

Team 694 had a great time at champs this weekend.

Congrats to the winners 868, 4003, 4541, and 5422! You guys were awesome to play against!

Thank you to our partners 1325, 2016 and 870. It was amazing to work with you guys. We’re still frustrated about what happened with our elevator hex shaft shearing during semis. We are not really sure why it happened yet but we’re trying to figure it out and how to learn from it.

Finally, thank you to first for putting on a great championship event!

Our team had a great time!

Thanks to 67, 1114, and 5436 for playing with us. It was a memorable experience working with such world-class teams, and it made our first champs in a long time a great time! Working with them was an absolute pleasure.

We do in fact know why it happened.

It all began at our 2nd regional when our solid 7075 aluminum shaft started twisting and we had to replace it since it was putting a lot of resistance into our elevator (we could tell since our elevator wouldn’t backdrive anymore) and that was causing brownouts since the motors had to pull more current to lift it. We managed to replace it in time for our next match however since we were in a rush we used vex thunderhex shaft which has a hollowed center. I remember thinking that we’ll replace it when we have the time however we ran into more pressing issues and we all forgot about the shaft.

Since the replacement shaft didn’t cause any issues during our next regional and all of qualifications at champs we didn’t run a full check on our lift other than our standard nuts and bolts check and gearbox check. We should’ve checked the shaft when we took apart our lift gearboxes after quals to make sure they were all fine for elims. We just thought the shaft must be fine since the elevator could backdrive just as it always did.

The shaft then suddenly sheared at the start of teleop during semifinal 2-1. We got back to our pit and managed to find some solid hex shaft and replace it. While in a rush to get back on the field in time one of our usb ports had a power surge and we couldn’t connect our gamepad and had to borrow a usb hub from an fta. Since we didn’t have time to run a systems check before the match, we had a code issue during auton that persisted into teleop until an fta instructed us to reset the robot code (we couldn’t determine what the code issue was even with the help of the csa, fta, and many others after our last match). Although we managed to reclaim the scale it was too late and we couldn’t catch up in time.

I’d like to apologize on behalf of our team to 1325, 2016, and 870. You guys were all amazing and we had a real shot on Einstein until we broke. We hope there are no hard feelings about the incident :frowning: (although we don’t blame you if there are)

Thanks again to everyone for such a great event and we hope to see you all at next year’s champs.

Enjoyed hearing your Stuy-Pulse chant at 8 in the morning  You guys have a heck of a lot of team spirit (and voice) and make it VERY LOUD!

Thanks! You guys were awesome to work with in our quals match together.

Congrats to Alliance 3 on the division win. 868 (Tech HOUNDS) crafted a solid alliance with a first pick of 4003 (TriSonics) and scooped up 4541 (CAV-ineers) for their second. Finals were clean and hard fought making for an exciting end of Archimedes this year.

We had a blast playing with 4237 (Team Lance-A-Bot), 3620 (Average Joes), and completed our Alliance 4 with 1322 (GRAYT). All built fantastic robots this year and our drive teams meshed incredibly well. The combinations we had with our robots and being flexible to play different roles helped us in our journey to finals through two other well-built alliances. This was an all around fun alliance to be a part of and we hope we get to compete together again.

Finally, congrats to our friends at 2220 (Blue Twilight) for their Championship Chairman’s Finalist Award. We have had the pleasure of competing with and getting to know you the past few years at Central Illinois Regional.

I couldn’t agree more. Congratulations to the Archimedes Division Winners!

And a special thanks to Team 1756 (Argos), our alliance Captains. Sir Lance-A-Bot was honored by your selection and truly enjoyed working with you. I’m sure the same can be said for our partners.

Best wishes and looking forward to our next alliance!
