Why: This is an easy and fun way to practice with your team’s robot. This scrimmage event is also a great way to test out new drivers and multiple strategies.
Tentative Schedule(subject to change) :
10 am-11 am — open time on the field to check out the field and test out mechanisms.
11 am-12 pm — open practice time for robots
12 pm-12:30 pm — lunch break (teams are on their own for lunch)
The field is of wooden construction based on modified team drawing field elements to match geometrically the official fields. We will have 1 of the HAB platforms (mostly) covered in orange-peel HDPE. There is no changing tilt mechanism for the cargo ship at end of the sandstorm period – the bays have fixed tilt. We have a few hatch panels and cargo, but teams will need to bring their game pieces so we can have enough to go around.

The field is mostly complete now. One of the Habs has orange peel texture on the top of Hab 3, the top of left Hab 2, and 2/3 of Hab 1, including the ramps and corner.
